India tour of England 2018

If India want to have any hope of winning this test series, the following XI must be played:

Vijay
Rahul
Pujara
Kohli
Rahane
Karthik
Ashwin
Jadeja
Shami
Umesh
Ishant

Picking both Jadeja and Ashwin in England seems unnecessary. Karthik's test career is finished for all means and purposes too, he has been extremely unlucky.

The talk of India coming back from 0-2 to win the series 3-2 is quite baffling. Yes, they won the last match. Yes, they are in a better frame of mind. But to talk about series win after one good show, one heartache and one flop is not practical. It would have made sense if the scoreline was 2-2.

Seriously, the expectations need to be tempered.

And you are the perfect man for the job :thumbs

Only one team has done that in the history of cricket and that is Bradman's Australia.
So we can draw, but winning is a huge task

What's amazing thing about this piece of trivia is, how on earth did Bradman's Australia end up 2-0 down in the first place

He's just returned from injury. I think they want Bhuvi to slowly return to his full form by letting him bowl 8-10 overs rather than throwing him immediately into the Test series where he'll have to bowl 20-25 overs rather than 8-10. I don't think it would do him any good to throw him straight in to bowl many overs after a lengthy injury.

They are just prepping him for the Asia Cup.

And India definitely need Bhuvi for the Asia Cup. He needs to play a bit of cricket to get himself going, but the selectors would basically be throwing him into deep water if he was brought back into the Test series. India's fast bowlers have done really good this series anyway, so it's not a big concern.

India's fast bowling in this series has generally been poor. The fact that a limited overs specialist like Bumrah has the lowest bowling average tells you all you need to know. It's a subpar bowling attack.

I am starting to really like this guy.
