India tour of New Zealand - Jan to Feb 2014

This is what the Indian cricket team deserves. I hope they lose the last match too. That's what it'll take to get rid of the useless baggage on the team.

Felt bad for India towards the end. That catch collision and several other close incidents went badly for them. They'll be out to win that last one for sure.

Really? MS Dhoni saying Rohit Sharma was unlucky to get out the way he did? Really?!?! He was far more lucky to be not out earlier, when he edged a ball to the slips and was dropped. When he did get out, he straight up edged a ball on the leg side. That's not being 'unlucky,' that's just getting an edge. Being unlucky is if the umpire gets it wrong or if the wicket is a freak accident.

Experiments were going on! Maybe Dhoni is taking this series as WC15 preparation.... Who knows what's happening behind doors........ :rolleyes

How is this Indian team regarded as one of the best in the world? They've just looked average, and statically only Kohli and Dhoni are world class.

Today their 3 and 4 were completely unproven international players, and Ashwin at 6, I mean were they taking the piss? Yes he played a blinder in Auckland, but he's a number 7 at best. Their pace bowling is extremely weak, which is shown by all of them other than Kumar having economy rates of at least 7.5!

if we cant defend 270 on this pitch with 2 spinners doing their full quota at an economy of around 4,.....we cant win matches

yes you could get a 300 there, but 270 was definitely defendable today.

on second though yes with the pace battery we have no total is safe, ido understand one or 2 bowler going for runs not the whole pace
attack.

India is ranked 1/2 (whatever it is today) because they play more limited overs cricket than the majority of the teams below 3 on the table. They refused point blank to play a third test in NZ so they could squeeze more ODI games in on other more "lucrative" tours.

Finally we have ample evidence to put to bed this ridiculous "ranking" system and the argument for a "tiered" cricket system, which is doomed to fail. India are overrated outside of sub-continent conditions and based on their lackluster performance in the field in this game, if they're not making dollar they don't really care about their cricket.

Totally outclassed by a vastly superior, younger, passionate NZ team.

Kane Williamson is the silent hero this series, he's rock-solid and the best number three since Andrew Jones. He's winning us games and doing without being the hero.

Bravo NZ

World Cup gonna be really interesting.

lol indian team is fresh and young as well if anything a lot of experimenting is going on.... nothing taken away from the nz team.. but just because you won dont sit on a high horse ...
