India tour of New Zealand - Jan to Feb 2014

Ajinkya wasn't out, Dhoni wasn't too. Only the way kiwis can win in. :D

As much as I know about smilies ":D" stands for kidding purposes.

Yeah! BCCI loosed there.

I know we got this game down to 40 runs, but it's important to remember we utterly lost the first two days of this test. It is difficult to come back from that. But there are positives to take out of this performance - discipline and application can win us games.

NZ knew that Dhoni was going to win the game for India which is why cheap tactic of bowling outside the line was used. Totally Pathetic! The spirit of the game is out of the world these days.:noway

This is the most hilarious comment I've read on PlanetCricket in FIVE YEARS. I feel like reporting it it's so ridiculous. Congratulations, you're actually insane.

Yeah, I mean its not because of those two decisions that you lost the game. First innings bowling and especially batting was a real let down. I'm just glad India put up a great fight in the second half of the game. Wellington should be a cracker, I haven't been to a test for a while but I'll definitely go to this one.

Cheap tactic? F***ing hell, what are you a moron? Spirit of the game, look at people like Kholi whining every time he legitimately gets out etc. Christ, see no other country seems to have such aggravating, narrow-minded fans than India. The belief that Dhoni is somewhat God incarnate, that Kholi is irrefutably the best batsman in every form of cricket, that umpires only give decisions against you etc. Perhaps when you make a cocktail of all that with the fact that those usually voicing these opinions are 12 year old, IPL addicts who speak very, very poor English, it doesn't do a lot for people.

I feel genuinely sorry for the majority of the Indian supporters here, but it's one's like you which give Indian supporters as a whole a bad press.

Take a long hard look at yourself son.

I'm pretty sure hes trolling on second thought.

Well, Wagner is bowling in that style since his cricket career at domestic levels. That isn't new.

I guess I shouldn't even be replying to you because it doesn't seem like you watches the game at all. The commentators were agreeing on the fact that it is not out. Why would Wagner even go out to bowl that wide from the crease? Why not just bowl all the way from the off side??? Accept the fact that it was against the spirit of the game.

Guess India's batsmen lost the game twice for them, then. Once when they were bowled out for 200 and then their bowlers got them back into the game. Then, the Indian batsmen couldn't chase down 320 today, which was "not a very difficult ask."

I expected someone to pick up that post and run with it, but I still stand by what I said, there was more important wickets caused by poor batting (Kohli and Rohit) and poor calls (Rahane and Dhoni) than good bowling (Dhawan and Pujara).

I thought New Zealand bowled beautifully -_-

Why are people complaining so much? I also loved the fight that India put up when their backs were against the wall.

We should just appreciate good test matches.

Accept the fact that without "cheating", this game wouldn't have been in your favor you moron! McCullum was probably shitting in his pants because of Dhoni so they have to bundle him up cheaply.

Come off it, it's not a negative line. The third umpire, however, seemed to have forgotten the whole concept of the benefit of the doubt, but the standard of umpiring has been so awful for this entire test that that was not particularly surprising.

While I agree, DRS in it's current form wouldn't have done jack ---- against the Dhoni decision, especially not with the love affair most of the cricketing public holds in protecting the umpires.

Ofc there are, my problem is the - well, your board doesn't approve of the DRS, so you deserve the poor calls.

Well, hopefully the BCCI will approve of the DRS. I'm a bit tired of it not being used. And agreed, it would not do anything in his scenario.

What I'm really tired of is seeing fellow optimistic Indian fans pointing to small errors here and there, and not pointing to the players. We were outmatched fair and square. We went into NZ playing them down as a side that we'd roll over, and now that the exact opposite has happened, instead of placing the responsibility on our players to rectify all the problems, people are pointing to umpiring errors.
