India tour of New Zealand - Jan to Feb 2014

Hahahahah. WONDERFUL stuff... I'm off to have a beer and celebrate an historic win and revel in the tears of insane fans like you Mega! You make these wins even sweeter! See you in a few days...

Well, hopefully the BCCI will approve of the DRS. I'm a bit tired of it not being used. And agreed, it would not do anything in his scenario.

What I'm really tired of is seeing fellow optimistic Indian fans pointing to small errors here and there, and not pointing to the players. We were outmatched fair and square. We went into NZ playing them down as a side that we'd roll over, and now that the exact opposite has happened, instead of placing the responsibility on our players to rectify all the problems, people are pointing to umpiring errors.

As you already know, I give 0 ----s about ODIs, which is what most of this tour consisted of, so to me the tour has just started and we've lost a close game, and tbf to the "fellow optimistic Indian fans", this game was quite emotional, expect the stat riding and player ridiculing to come after.

Poor decisions affected on the both sides. See umpires are humans not robotic. DRS lacked there. Accept the natural result.
*And consider the use of smilies before quoting someone hardly.

Alright see ya :wave

Enjoy the worthless celebration!!

"When landing, the side of the foot appears to have touched the crease. But there is no proof it landed there. It could be the bulge on the foot in the air. It could have been in the air. You can make your own minds up. Third umpire says it didn't touch"
From cricinfo
And just to clarify all the stuff going about DRS this is a third umpire decision and it was called for review by on field umpires and decision was taken.

Great test match, this. We saw scores fluctuate from 500 to even just a 100 and right till the end it was anybody's game. We lost the first two days very badly but the fightback after that was remarkable. NZ were always going to have the upper hand once the target was about 400. Our batsmen fought hard and I enjoyed those 20 odd minutes where Jadeja and Dhoni were on the attack. In the end the deserving team won the match. But, the intent shown by India in the 2nd innings makes the next test match worth watching. Hopefully we can win there. Well played NZ. Wonderful fight put up by India. Test cricket is the winner.

But how blind can you be to not see the huge deflection by the inside edge from Rahane? Well, its all cool, cheater won the game and off to the next one.

Its about Rahane and other poor decisions throughout the tour except today's of Dhoni.

Haha. The team that's won all season is now cheating, are they? Quality.

Umpires make mistakes. That's a part of the game. You can't call NZ cheaters because an umpire made a mistake. There were mistakes against them too. Blame Dhoni, blame our own performance. Blame the fact that we gave up so many runs and were out for 200. When someone beats you, you shake their hand. That's called being a good sport. If you don't do that, you're an ass.

Watching it, it just looked a 50/50 decision. I accept the on-field umpires getting it wrong but the third umpire really should remember where the benefit of the doubt goes.

New Zealand were better than us for two and a half out of the four days. We lost. Let's hope we win the next one.

Not sure much about but we have seen those kinda decisions when DRS wasn't even born. That isn't new and ball comes with the speed of 140 KMH not 20/30. One of the reason which caused to bring DRS.

See you 11am for the test at the Basin on Friday: Valentine's Day, oh how we love you India... We'll have a big box of chocolates to go along with another defeat.
