Yeah it really is great news. I mean with two tests, If you lose the first Test it is very difficult to come back and you cannot win the series, In 3 Test Match series', Comebacks are possible. Also more quality Cricket.

I'm looking forward to this series. Hopefully India won't be completely blown out like we were before the 2003 World Cup, where we lost everything.

I doubt it. I think this time, India will do well (touch wood). I feel we might have a team this time to do even better in overseas conditions. Ishant and Zak are at their prime, Dravid got some form with his last hundred, Sachin is in superb touch (and that Chennai win being a high point), Yuvraj is in fine nick (though he starts shivering when he goes overseas). Gambhir and Veeru are the best openers right now on form, and Dhoni cant do anything wrong these days.

Hoping for a comprehensive Indian victory and a resurrection of the overseas record.

This is great news. I think the recent news from the BCCI to increase Test matches (starting with a possible 5-test series against England and now this) is good for world and Indian cricket.

I feel the Chennai game and the Perth one (Aus-SA) might have helped in a big way for the BCCI to go in this direction. Its really good to see more tests. Hoping for a 3-test series here.

Need Dravid to get back his touch badly. He is one batsman who has actually scored in Kiwi Land.

3rd test has been added and will be played in Napier also they are adding a 2nd T20 which will be at Christchurch. Most of the ODI's have been shifted forward a little to make room for the extra test. I can't wait this tour should be great.

oooh cant belive India is gonna play so close to Australia and I have to read cricinfo all day!! :crying:crying Anyone have a spare $100 for me to catch a flight to kiwi land.:upray

Anyhow its going to be an awesome series!!!

These matches will be over even before I get up from sleep.

Welcome to my life, lol.

I'll stay up the whole night on Friday and Saturday nights. Should be fun. Takes the piss when we're playing at home though, Wake up at 4am or miss the match. For home matches you can stay up the whole night seeing as you're in the US, right?

Happy about the extended tour. 2 T20's, 5 ODI's and 3 Tests - Perfect. Even balance of everything.

I wake up at 4, and watch till lunch before getting ready for school. Well worth it. :)

I suppose thats doable. However its a bit tricky when you've been up till 11pm the previous night completing coursework and then have to leave the house at 7:20am in the morning. I normally wake up at 6 to watch about an hour of the match.

This will be more fun... Also the timings will be like from the evening till midnight (till either 2-3pm) which is the time till when I stay awake.

Hope India get used to the conditions during the T20 games. I dont think they actually need practice for the specific format.

this tour could be a big one for irfan if he is selected,he ll do well in those conditions.
