disgusting for what? Are you seeing the match or following in cric info? After seeing n-replies from different also, it was so inconclusive whether the ball touched the ground or not.

Have you heard commentator saying, " Definitely the fielder would be clueless of it.. Well, not able to say whether ball touched it..Fingers might be beneath the ball or with ball changing its seam position it might have touched the ground. Still not able to say, would be interesting what third umpire would have given if referred! "

I don't see anything disgusting! You no need to excuse that and it's believable!

He bowled well exceptionally well to me. I saw his bowling in last innings and this innings of first two overs from him. Nothing seemed to be wrong .. I don't get what you are saying. Because to me, Indian bowlers look always crap but these two Zaheer and Ishant looked nothing wrong to me.

I'm watching it. The ball quite obviously should have been refered and if it was it NO WAY would have been given out. Benefit to the batsman. The ball hit the grass 99% for me. Just because your biased eye couldn't believe it.

His worst performances by far have come against Australia.

Brilliant! Considering what you have just said, if he is really mediocre against countries other than Australia, he is the best bowler of the universe.

On a serious note, Ishant has looked really good in this test match. When the conditions are good for batting, he still is economical and eventually picks up wickets. And when the conditions are helpful, he is very dangerous and send shivers.

I agree.. The Sachin catch looked NOT OUT to me. Saw the replays! Its a day when everything has gone in India's favor.

Iain O'Brien just got God out!

Ashley Giles got him out as well, what's ya point?

Tendulkar is God. I can't wait to watch him bat in person in June. Best batsman of his generation and the best batsman currently playing the game of cricket (bar Pietersen of course ;)). Just a genius with a bat in his hand, I could watch Tendulkar bat forever!

Sorry, amoungst all the BS umpiring, disgusting outfielding and catching and terrible captaincy from Vettori I forgot to say how great Tendulkar's hundred was. It was a pleasure to watch, what a player! He was well supported which was the key. Our two hundred getters were it. No help from the rest of the order. That's why India are over 200 ahead on first innings.

Zaheer's 50 was inexcusable. Dropped a few times and some horrible fielding. Not good from NZ. They have some work to do.

Only one thing which created a doubt in me whether it might be NOT OUT is, the change of seam position of the ball when Sachin's fingers were trying to hold the ball. But again, doubt raised in my mind, even if the finger-tip had touched the ball while catching, the position might change. This is what I felt and left it inconclusive.

But as you say, when referred to the third umpire, benefit of the batsmen gains the high priority!

Calm down, Ross Taylor and McCullum can still be nightmare for our bowlers. I can feel they are performing better than their own performance vs Aus in tests recently!

Sachin ! Sachin Sachin ! :hpraise:hpraise

one more record equals M Waugh to play most Test for a country

That was a good day for India and Zaheer Rocks ! :happy

Yup, Mills has lost it I'm afraid, and you can tell just by looking at his face in this match. NZ -166/3 heading into day four, only one result here. Sucks to be half kiwi, I feel obliged to support these guys but they're playing like a local second XI, wtf was that attempt at a catch by Martin?

IIRC so did M.Vaughan in one of those natwest games. THAT was a delivery. But yeah, ST is looking his prime again, just realised his previous innings before this was the ODI where he hit 150+. Watched him live at the SCG on India's previous tour, I remember thinking at the time how lucky I was to see that innings

I told you guys that Sachin's catch was inconclusive.. Some of you guys were too sure,

Tendulkar said: "I have seen the replays, and I have also seen my fingers under the ball. If the umpires were in doubt, they would have definitely called for the third umpire. Sometimes on camera it looks different. But I was pretty much confident otherwise I wouldn't have appealed."

Cricinfo - Tendulkar's catch attracts controversy

Still it's a controversy! And not conclusive.. ooooops, by the way you people telling, made me to think for a moment that I was wrong especially when someone called 'my BIASED eye'!

The replays were not conclusive, and could have resulted in the batsman getting the benefit of the doubt. But as is the case with such low catches, the on-field umpires tend to not go to the third umpire if they have seen it.
Even the cameramen had their biased eyes!

My dad did it again. Super innings. We're in total control of this now, we could wrap this up tomorrow if we bowl really well.

Looks as if there is some controversy with a catch. I'll watch it myself on the highlights then post my verdict.

We should wrap this up one today. Seriously though, NZ badly need bond back. They also need to chuck mills out. He's just terrible. An attack of Bond, Obrien, Martin, southee and Vettori and some good young players like Flynn, Guptil, and Ryder, NZ cricket would be heading in the right direction.

Every Indian batsmen scored at least one boundary. I wonder how many times that's happened in Test cricket. :p

On another note, this Test match feels like I've been playing Cricket Captain 3 where India is super-dominant. Everything just fit together that it's hard to believe that we are actually touring! We usually drop the first game and comeback or dominate the first game and drop the one immediately after. Let's hope this doesn't happen.

Just looked at the Tendulkar catch and it is highly debatable. However if I were the Umpire then I probably would've given it out because it looks as if Tendulkar got his fingers underneath the ball.

Lol @ Zak and anyone else Munaf Musa Patel showing signs of returning the Munaf of 2006?

My dad played awesome too, flaying the bowlers left, right and centre. Just makes everything look so easy, pure genius.
