sachin was batting so beautifully, expected him to get a big one here.....but....welll lets hope vvs and dravid can work some magic here.

Such a useless umpire can't even make the right decisions while being the 3rd umpire.

I went to look which ball you guys are talking about and it's this:

48.4 Vettori to Dravid, 1 no ball, Edged and caught by McCullum but it's a no-ball. And cruelly, the replays suggest it was not a no ball. Oh dear. What a big moment here. It was short of length delivery, spinning away .. Dravid thought this was the easy chance to get a boundary and shaped to cut but there was bit of extra bounce there and also it was wider than Dravid thought and he ended up edging to McCullum.

Dravid seems to be out here. Anyway Tendulkar is already out and really need runs to avoid the follow on.

Unfortunate to see Sachin OUT! Was expecting another ton from him since he as usual looked excellent. Dravid has looked very good too though now he is extremely lucky to be there. There was one ball before where Vettori had a big part of his foot on the line and it was still called no-ball. Now when he took a wicket, the umpire makes the same mistake and this time, the cost to NZ is huge.

Hope VVS and Dravid bring out their magical partnership to save us here. We can still get close to 619 if these two players remain there for long enough which they are capable of

What the hell is Watkin doing umpiring in the middle anyway? He's too old and he's probably the worst umpire i've ever seen in my life.

ahh love watching Dravid and Laxman bat, aint going sleep unless they both get out

Carey Clements: "do you know why Billy Doctrove is not standing on the second day and has been replaced by Evan Watkin? It must be quite a few years since a NZ umpire stood in a test in NZ." Doctrove had a chest infection and so couldn't officiate. And FWIW it was Watkin who made that no-ball call when Dravid edged Vettori to McCullum.

This is why Watkin is umpiring.

Both of these players look good. They bat well even on wickets that offer help to the bowlers. Hope they dont move an inch of this pitch. India missed Mishra here on this pitch.

Happy seeing Dravid bat like this. His concentration seems to be back which is great news for us. So far, he has had a very good tour with a hundred in the warm up and scores of 66 and 74*.

And Yuvraj goes for 0 too!! Brilliant!

Get out soon, India. Make NZ think of enforcing the follow-on so that we can have a backdoor entry to save the test. Frankly, the absence of Dhoni is making a clear difference here. He is the talisman of the side
