I don`t want to jinx them but the Indian seniors all look in supreme touch at the moment. That can only mean more hard work for bowlers around the world.

Sehwag played a couple of good captain knocks

I bet he is reserving all of it for a big 150+ in the final test. Its really due now.

I agree. Laxman looked good in the first innings, Dravid has been in very good form for his last 5 innings, Tendulkar has been in great touch for quite sometime now. Hope this continues... These guys have to place India at No.1 before they retire.

I don't get why you would want Gambhir to hurry up? Clearly you're trying to save the match?

Gambhir > Sehwag

India are not known to save matches like this. Gambhir is best when he keeps things moving. When he gets too bogged down, the impatient stroke is lurking around the corner

Gambhir > Sehwag? Not yet. Sehwag's a legend. Gambhir's one in the making.

Edit: Congrats Gambhir for a hard fought hundred! He got back the flow of scoring soon enough. One of his best ever hundreds (in the Top 2) because he is saving a match here after following-on and in overseas conditions. BRILLIANT! Sachin also got his 50. Feels really happy (hope I am not jinxing them)

This is pretty boring sadly. We need wickets before the close of play. At least need to get rid of this partnership.

The Dravid wicket was unlucky. They're at least starting to even out mind you. I feel sorry for the guy, he batted so well. Then again, that false no-ball has perhaps cost us the match. We'll see what happens.

Comprehensive win of a day for India! Even the Dravid wicket was the umpire's fault than that of the batsman. What a flat pitch this is? We are at fault for wasting the opportunity in the first innings. Sehwag should take big responsibility because this is a wicket where he could have broken Lara's record.

Gambhir > Sehwag

For heaven's sake, stop comparing the players. Just enjoy cricket if you can rather than analyzing and wasting time with who is greater!

Well, I saw the match fully today.. I should say, " HATS OFF " to Gambhir :hpraise More than 400 minutes, he has given a stand and made the situation far better for India. I won't say, he has saved the match because we have still a long way to go. Gambhir has done exactly what Dravid was supposed to do!

Dravid.. I think he was bit unfortunate in his dismissal. But he has got his prime form back with 66,83,62 in three consecutive innings. And, Sachin!! :hpraise :hpraise :hpraise Some of his shots were like treat for the eyes to see. What a fantastic knock.. Especially his backfoot & frontfoot drives. WOW! :hpraise

Now after India doing so much hard work on Day 4, it's upto how they carry themselves tomorrow. The first session will tell you the exact picture. I am waiting for it with full excitements.

Yep. If India escape without much damage in the first session tomorrow, we have 90% saved the match. At the current style of batting, we will get 70-80 runs in 30 overs of the first session which should give us a lead of around 10-15 runs. Maximum one wicket could be lost in the first session under recommended circumstances. If we lose more than one, we would open ourselves up again (coz Yuvraj and Karthik are almost like sitting ducks).

Exciting day in the offing! Test cricket at its engrossing best

Yup the match is gonna be at its peak on the last day. Will miss watching it as I have my College tommorow. Will watch the highlights in the evening though.

Saaaaiiii, why a wicket? No! India should try to save wickets as much as possible. Because, we have only one recognized batsman which is Laxman! Gambhir and Sachin should look forward to dominate the first session.

If we can do it on Day 4 with only one wicket lost in the whole day, we can do the same on Day 5 as well. :upray Tendulkar and Gambhir both looked comfortable today, so I don't think we have better players than that to continue the momentum for India tomorrow. If any of either Sachin or Gautam goes early, thats it.. I am going to switch off my TV & sleep again! :noway :(

Also regarding Kiwis, I really feel that Franklin is not at all utilized properly. He bowled so well. He got that swing today which Brein and Martin did not produce.. Then I wonder why Franklin bowled only 11 overs? I am surprised!

Even Vettori did underbowl himself. He got a wicket in the second over of his spell after lunch(though it wasnt out).
Cant understand why.

Great day for India. It's important that we don't throw away all this hard work. We must bat till tea; after which we'll be safe but until then there'll still be some nervous moments if a wicket falls. Very solid batting from Dravid and Gambhir....and Tendulkar, wow. His batting is just a treat to watch at the moment, simply awesome. The range of shots, timing, positive intent , all great to watch. Hopefully he makes yet another ton tomorrow.

It was a good day but something really pissed me off today. When Dravid and Gambhir were batting, people were chanting Sachin's name.

Because they want things moving which Sachin can provide (and did provide when he came). But what Dravid and Gambhir did was very engrossing. They battled very well and showed lot of discpline.

Sachin is in a ZONE! Reminds me of the Sachin of the 90's when his timing was just amazing.
