It's a shame we didn't get a wicket that session. We need to keep chipping away. We had a lot of close calls though. India did really well to get out of it without losing a wicket.

Just caught the last 30 minutes before lunch. I'm quite impressed by Jesse Ryder, I think he is really showing that fitness isn't the main factor to cricket!

Also, Vettori is going to pick up a wicket in this next session. He's threatening it, I really do like the Vettori/Ryder bowling. I think against India, 2 spinners at either ends is a bit useless, they've been playing spin since they where knee high to a grasshopper. I think Ryder being at one end kinda does actually make sense, it will in some way make Gautam Gambhir do something different.

It was evident towards the end there that he was getting impatient. He could quite easily get a bit excited against Ryder and edge/nick/sky one.

Just to end, that offdrive from Dravid for 6 was absolutely amazing. Its was actually beautiful!

A rare session won by India in this test. Both Gambhir and Dravid batted with lot of commitment (following-on a score of 314). Dravid's six was amazing. Rare seeing him hit sixes in tests (has hit only 15 so far according to Cricinfo commentary).

Take it session by session. They should survive the 2nd one too. Seeing the way both are batting, I am backing them to do it. I am enjoying the game right now. Engrossing battle

If Dravid can hit that crisp, then he should try for 6 more! It was absolutely outstanding, his balance and the fact that he couldn't have middled it anymore if he'd been batting against Ashley Giles!

Very worse decision from Gould.Dravid was in a shock after seeing the umpire's decision against him.
All his hardwork in the crease has gone wasted now because of a crap decision.Could have easily stayed till the end of the day.
Great innings Dravid!!!
Now we need Sachin and Gambhir to stay till the very end of the day,to remain in the game.

Bad decision!!! Hurts when Dravid worked so hard to help us save the test. WELL DONE DRAVID!!! Great test match for him

Dravid is back in form.'The Wall' has rejuvenated now.Dravid now has scored 50 in both innings ten times now, next only to Alan Border's 13 times.Great to see him back.India need him for atleast a year from now.

I think Dravid can continue for more than a year if he can maintain this form.

I've got a feeling that Yuvraj Singh will be replaced for next Test if he doesn't perform now.

India is holding on better then I expected.

Is Tendulkar in a hurry? Suddenly he got some quick runs.

On the other hand, Gambhir is very slow. He didn't get a run in 21 balls and is stuck on 83 runs for a while.

who would replace Yuvraj if he is out? I don't see that many middle/lower order options. Unless they play Vijay at Yuvis position.

Whats wrong with Gambhir? he is being too defensive, while Tendulkar looks ultra positive. I think Gambhir has to get a move on.

Dravid has scores of 136,66,83 and 63 as his scores in 4 out of his last 5 innings.Good to see him getting back to form after the woeful run he had for 12-14 months or so.

Gambhir seems to be very consciously not wanting to attack today.I just hope it pays off because at the moment it is taking us nowhere.
