Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Odd that Abhishek hasn't bowled at all this innings. Guess it was because there were two left handers at the crease, but an over each from Samad and Williamson coupled with two from Abhishek would've sufficed IMO. It looks tough, but if SRH restrict Mumbai to under 200 that would be excellent and gives SRH a chance. Although Kaul has looked out of sorts and Sandeep hasn't had the best form lately.

Argghh Kaul..... Had hope MI could be restricted to 200 before he dished out some length balls rather than sticking to his yorkers after bowling Hardik. Undid the great work done by Rashid and Natarajan.

Was a superb bowling performance until the last 4 balls... :facepalm

Even though he got out, Manish has been playing really well at no. 3, not allowing any scoreboard pressure to David.

Can't understand what Rashid Khan intended to do by not running in the last over. He should've shown confidence on Sandeep Sharma. Nevertheless, another comprehensive win for the Mumbai Indians. Loved that celebration from Pollard. :D

Said this before the start but Maxi is of no use if he is going to come down at five. Play Neesh instead.

Didn't really expect SRH to win against MI. So no surprises there.

So refreshing to see CSK back to their usual best. The victories were really hurting to see and most hurting part was to see MSD on the losing side. Hopefully they win tonight. CSK somehow needs to bring back Tahir in the line-up and they would do better with the ball as well.

You simply cannot let Watto to settle. Pleased to see that he was proactive at the start instead of looking to play himself in with a steady start.

Finally CSK have won. And what a way to win this one as well. Chasing 178 and winning by 10 wickets what a dominating performance this is!!! Take a bow Watto & Faf, take a bow!!!! :cheers

Well, looks like Watson has sealed his spot for the rest of the season.

For Punjab, their bowling is just not good enough if they don't get early wickets. Chris Jordan is just not having a good time and he is leaking plenty of runs. I don't see Jordan retaining his spot for the next game. I would just bring in Mujeeb in place of him and bring in someone like Ishan Porel in place of Harpreet Brar. If they are still looking to have an overseas fast bowler, giving a game to Hardus Viljoen wouldn't hurt either.

Jordan's first over is where CSK won. Good to see them on the winning side.
Exactly. Another mistake they made was removing Shami in the starting when his first 3 balls troubled Watson.
But credit to Watson and the management to stick with him. People had started writing him off and there he is with a bang. Yes a bit of luck also in his innings, but he is a match winner.
Further, I think that Watson should be CSK's number 3 so that he is prevented from facing those swinging deliveries in the begining.
But what I more loved was Faf playing aggressively and not just picking those singles alone.
Again I say that Jhadhav should be dropped. He could not bat today. He cannot play aggressively when the top order fails, as in the last 3 matches. What is exactly his role in the team? He should be dropped seriously.
