Is Simarjeet still injured? Not sure why he isn’t playing if he’s fit after that cameo last season.

Yes, I'm not liking the fact that we cannot rewind few seconds to watch an interesting moment again.
You can rewind in laptop with left arrow key.

Rajvardhan has looked real good today with the ball (fingers crossed). 2 wickets so far. Hope this means that he’s backed for the entire season. He’s also a potential match winner with bat.

He’s reminding me of a young Bumrah. Needs to be backed properly.

Seems a good bowler but isn't his runup a little lackluster? He only seems to gain steam in the last couple of steps so maybe he should take a leaf out of Wasim Akram or even Bumrah's book to cut short his runup to make time/reduce effort or make it a bit more smooth to use it to his advantage to generate even more pace.

Is it the first time that someone has opted for DRS for a wide?

Gross misjudgement of the wicket today, by Dhoni and Fleming. This game needed Dwaine Pretorius in place of Mitchell Santner. Both Santner and Jadeja got nothing off this wicket (that Hardik wicket was more Hardik than Jaddu). The fact that Dhoni didnt bowl Moeen at all, said a strong story!

And I cant believe for the heck of my life as to what does Dhoni and the management see in Tushar Deshpande? Last year when IPL started, there was hype articles on Tushar's improvement. In a game or two, he was discarded due to bad bowling. Same story this year (all hype about Tushar's improved show in FC) and he comes in as Impact Player and ruins it again!

Deepak Chahar bowled an excellent 17th, but was horrendous in the 19th. His inexperience at the death showed. With this kind of a squad, CSK need a specialist death bowler if they got to have any chance in away games. I cant see Stokes playing all games even if he is available to bowl, coz he is not a death bowler at all.

I’m glad that GT are fully utilising Rashid Khan as a proper all-rounder. His batting ability has been under appreciated for a long time.

Can’t see CSK posing a serious challenge to anyone with this bowling attack. This wasn’t WC Santner for one and Deshpande isn’t a Dhoni type bowler at all. Simarjeet has to be backed, Theekshana can’t come back soon enough and I’d say we need to give Solanki more game time. The lack of an attacking spinner is jarring in 2023. Rayudu and Dube are also not gonna cut it for consistency, they’ll win you the odd game perhaps with one big performance but carrying them till that point is unsustainable. Stokes’ looks off colour to me, if he is to bat as a number four I don’t think he’ll work out well. Should be opening with Gaikwad to provide impetus in the powerplay while Conway and Mo follow up.

There wasn't much purchase on this wicket for spinners. This was a "mix it up and make the batsmen work hard for runs" type of a wicket. I dont think Solanki or Theekshana would've helped on us. This wicket needed a Pretorius.

I hope Simarjeet is having some issue and that's why he was benched. He looked good last season with Mukesh, and he should replace Tushar ASAP. I would even have a look at Matheesha Pathirana, who got Dhoni praising him to the skies towards end of last season. Maybe he could be our death option like Malinga.
