Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

Lol 1400 runs and only in 2nd innings

well yes but hopefully the next test offers more to the bowlers. I feel if we can somehow get the top 4 early (or at least not let them get 2-3 centuries) then the middle order could be remove rather fast. Angelo mathews and the wicketkeeper haven't had much batting so far. So we gotta try and take out the top order. I'm not worried about our batting all that much. But are bowlers will have to bowl a lot better. It's sad how easily we give runs compared to SL, that's the worrying part. If they can't get wickets they just leak runs. What happened to the 8-1 field MSD used against Australia in 08. He shoulda done something like that in the first innings xD

Ya indeed that field really changed the match

well done India for 700...lets see if Sri Lankans create another pitch like this for next test. What happens to the rankings if next one is draw as well?

Ojha and Ishant are only playing this long so they again don't have to bowl on this pitch.

Don't blame them one bit..Can't the captains call the match off or something? there's not gonna be any result in this.

I think they might still stay #1 if the last 1 draws. Or drop to second at best. Not 100% sure.

But I wanna see India win the next 1. I don't mind a 1-1. But losing the series would make me sadface.

Do not know much but I think India will retain No 1 spot and Sl will reach 2 shifting SA to 3 and Aus to 4

Finally, Ojha and Ishant kept lanka frustrated.:laugh

On day 5 the 1st Innings is still going :laugh

Whoever posted that stat about Sangakkara scoring doubles and Sri Lanka always winning those matches has jinxed them! :laugh

Having runfests is just about ok for ODIs, keeps a lot of numpties happy in T20, but for a Test match it gets boring after about 2-3 days. They should have a rule that if the match isn't into the 2nd innings by lunch on day four then the match is declared a draw, refunds all round and an ODI on the fifth day! Might make boards and groundstaff think twice about producing pitches full of too many runs.

Anyone want to state at which point during day three or four the result was pretty much set in stone?
