Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

I have been impressed with our intent while batting. We may not get a 100+ lead but at least we have made sure we got to the Lankan score with 2 days still left in the test match, thereby leaving a possibility of a win open. This is what Sehwag brings to the side, and with Sachin in sublime form, we have`nt felt the absence of Gambhir and Dravid`s lack of runs that much (even considering the pancake tracks). The first test defeat could`ve been avoided but our batting has been solid since then.

Also, this is the first time in the series that we are playing like we want to win and I hope we carry the same attitude while we go out to field. The test match has felt like a test match so far. The curator has done a decent job here. The tail has looked pretty useful with the bat. I hope they can come up with one good bowling effort in the final innings. I`m looking forward to the last 2 days of this test.

yeah that's it, well done boys, a 4 run lead, just get 40 runs more today before getting out.:banana2

He threw his wicket away there, Mishra. I hate it when batsmen hole out in the deep in Tests. Oh well, here's hoping for a quick 20-30 runs from these two. However, knowing them they're gonna block it out painfully.

All out for 436 Lead is just 11 runs

In the cricket chat threads scores which simply give a score update without any comment or a meaningless description would be classed as spam:

Remember!

The lower order batted well to get India past SL's total though. Mithun and Mishra made a good partnership :)

the threat of sehwag puts this match in the balance, sri lanka will look to bat out day 4 and probably to after lunch on day 5. There is no way you can give india 300 to chase with the full final day, against most teams that would be an option, if a slightly aggressive one. Just can't do that against India right now, sehwag is in too good form and he could make that chase a formality after 20 overs.

so we might, if we're lucky, get a very good final couple of days.

impressed with randiv, sri lankans just look to be miles ahead of anyone when it comes to producing spinners.
