Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

It was the bounce that undone a lot of the Indian batsmen tbh, I didn't really notice much movement of the pitch or in the air, not as much as India were getting at the start of the New Zealand innings anyway.

This is what happens when you get used to play on flat tracks. A bit of a lively track and they fall like a pack of cards.

It wasn't so much the bounce imo. Tuffey just bowled a perfect line and length and was extremely patient.

Can't blame the batsmen entirely. But was definitely expecting more of a fight. That was too easy for NZ, but well played Black Caps.

So, do we make Jadeja the scapegoat for this performance too? Cricinfo seems to be full of Jadeja haters, as in the users who send comments in. Don't get it, don't get it at all. He's doing as much as Sharma has done in his career with the bat, and his economy rate is solid. However, his bowling form at the moment is not so impressive. Probably needs a break from international cricket at this stage.

For what it's worth, I am a Jadeja fan, and I have supported him quite a bit. But, yeah, not really liking his bowling at the moment. Not as good as what it was when he first came onto the international scene.

He doesn't get enough (or any) revs on the ball. It's just flat out dart bowling which makes him far too predictable. The batsman can hit out against him because they are sure that the ball isn't going to do anything out of the ordinary (as it does for Ojha). He also needs to flight the ball more.

Yeah, but nobody uses those reasons. Darts aren't a bad thing if he's being played as a containment option. But, I've seen him bowl much better in domestic cricket. He can flight the ball, and he needs to do it more, agreed. I believe he started bowling these darts in the T20 competitions, and then just stuck with them.

Also, mhmm, I wonder if Saurabh Tiwary is going to get a chance. Because honestly, if he's not, he should be playing the Emerging Players Tournament. Would be a much better experience for him. Missed a huge chunk of the India A tour to England too courtesy the Asia Cup.

Oh my, this match was utter domination. When was the last time we got bowled out under a 100?

I guess I'll catch the highlight of the Indian innings later on Willow.tv. It shouldn't take that long to watch. :p

New Zealand up to number 2 on the ICC rankings as well, good stuff.

This has got to be the lowest Indian total in some time too...several years, I'd think.

Chak de NZ

Good luck at the 2011 WC India It will be the one frontier Sachin will never conquer :laugh

Well a poor showing by the batsman. They were struggling against some good bowling by NZ. Really shows that the new batsmen don't have the temperament yet to play against some quality bowling. But then again they are young and the more matches they play, the better they will get! :)

Just saw the highlights, Williamson did get a jaffa, the perfect outswinger. Can't judge anything by that, would have gotten far better players out. Well bowled

:happy

Nice to wake up this morning and see we've won by 200 runs :laugh
