Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

With this kind of bowling, you expect us to provide a tough fight in the WC. I am also one of the eternal optimists, but performances like these are so downing. And these kind of performances seem to increase (first in T20's where we were doing so well, now slowly in ODI's too). Basically it all boils down to the toss. If we win the toss, great. If we lose it, we are at a big disadvantage. And it will be quite similar in Indian conditions too where the WC will be staged.

With our bowling attack, I will be happy if we qualify for the semis. Anything after that is a bonus.

Bowling is a down side, I know. But, that is what we have at our disposal and that is what we have to be content with. We started off very well in this match as well but it is just that Taylor and Styris applied themselves very nicely at the crease. It was a better batting than a not so good bowling I feel. For the batting, I didn't see the Indians bat so I cannot really call on it.

Very impressive performance by NZ without McCullum and Vettori, going to be interesting seeing how they get them into the side. If McCullum didn't give up keeping you could probably keep Williamson. McKay really seems to have stepped up to this level, seems to be very hard to get away.

Nah, he's already stated that he'll continue to keep in ODI's and 20/20's.

Oram's injured, not sure whether he'll play tonight. McCullum or Southee to replace him? Hopefully Watling's better as well, a straight swap of him for Ingram

Southee, McCullum and Watling in :D
Elliott, Ingram and Oram out.
Batting lineup is weakened, but it's still pretty decent

We're batting first, so we should win :p

I'm not so sure whether it was necessary to bring either Southee or McCullum in though, the batting is kinda weak with McCullum at 7 and Mills/Tuffey at 8

Oram and Elliot out, Southee in, giving me a feeling that NZ would lose.:p

Oi! nothing wrong with Southee :)

Watling off the mark, unlike Williamson :p

Watling's looking quite good out there:) Wonder what'll happen when McCullum and Ryder are back though :/

:crying Taylor out

:facepalm Oh ████

Watling to follow Guptill and score a century on ODI debut :D

2 ducks in a row for williamson, wonder if they will persist with him for the upcoming games.
