Thanks for all ur comments! Next match is India vs New Zealand! India if they win it, enter the finals. If they lose, then their match against Zimbabwe would be decisive. If Zimbabwe win against India by a big margin, Zimbabwe enter the final. If India just win it, India enters the final!

I cant guarantee a win every game MWaugh. Ok, here is a better explanation of the scenarios that can happen

If India beat New Zealand and Zimbabwe - INDIA VS NEW ZEALAND FINAL

If India lose to New Zealand but beat Zimbabwe (or vice versa) - INDIA VS NEW ZEALAND FINAL

If India lose to New Zealand and lose to Zimbabwe - Net Strike rate would be calculated and the team with the better strike rate in this series would qualify for the final with New Zealand!

Saurav Ganguly seemed visibly confident while talking to the press ahead of Tuesday's match against New Zealand.

* You seemed to be robbed of a certain win against Zimbabwe. How do you guys feel?

Well, you cant defy nature! The rain left us with shared points along with Zimbabwe. After a score of 230, we looked good for a victory but the rain dampened our hopes of winning!

* How do you find Chappell's coaching methods so far?

Well Chappell has an excellent vision for Indian cricket! And he is right now moving on the correct track to implement all his visions on Indian cricket and I am sure he will succeed in his mission to transform this team into a world beating unit!

* It is reported that Irfan Pathan has had an hamstring pull during the practice session?

Yes! He has pulled his hamstring during the practice session. The physio is monitoring his progress and should be able to tell us the situation soon! In case of a drop out, we have the men necessary to fill in for Pathan!

* So you're confident of winning against New Zealand?

Of course we are confident of winning every game in this series. The boys are working hard and are being made to work hard by the coach and his team! We are determined to win the trophy and take it back home!

Irfan Pathan doubtful for the New Zealand ODI​

Irfan Pathan, India's key strike bowler is doubtful for the next match against New Zealand at Harare Sports Club. Pathan pulled his hamstring during a practice session on the eve of the match against New Zealand. He is now being diagnosed by the physio and the trainers and information on his availability should soon be available to the media!

Balaji is a likely replacement for the injured Pathan! But even Kumble is in the fray as the captain Ganguly is also thinking of a two pronged spin attack because New Zealand are suspect against spin and the track might support spinners later in the innings!

no not kumble please. Give him rest from one day matches and let him more concentrate on test matches. Balaji deserves a chance here to prove his worth
