India's Tour Of Sri Lanka- August 2015

And Stuart Binny what the fk has the whole management been smoking. I don't care for the result, maybe India will win, perhaps even win by an innings and a gazillion runs, but still this selection is unacceptable. Rohit and Binny are not the future. Especially Rohit, we have wasted enough time on the guy.

Absolute crap decision, if they really needed someone to bowl seam it was bhuvi and he is a much decent bat.

why the hell the best batsman at NO5 who has played well with tail being pushed up.

I can see no hit pulling a century here and push rahanae out of the team. then squat in that position for another year on his potential.

I think it's a good decision to promote Rahane @ 3. I mentioned that earlier as well.

Kohli is a very very fickle, reactive captain. I observed this because I'm quite obsessed about RCB and a lot of his changes, selections and captaincy style was a media driven. After ALL the talk of 5 bowlers, you pick a no solution in Binny? Jeez. The way Shastri was boasting, I thought Rohit would at least get a couple of series @ 3.

A captain is meant to inspire stability and provide confidence. Kohli isn't that captain yet and as long as Shastri is there, there will be havoc. Perhaps he can come out now and shout that 'the scoreline doesn't matter.'

The problem with Rohit is he doesn't understand caution. He just stepped out and hit Herath for a six. What is the fking point of that shot right now. Its a risky shot, okay it went for a six on that one, but that is not a shot to play right now. He gets out playing a lofted shot in this situation he is going to look dumb as hell, not to mention a wicket lost needlessly.

What is the need to be hitting sixes right now. Singles are coming easily the pitch is great for batting, and Rohit keeps trying to find ways to make it all risky all of a sudden.

I find that a bit harsh. I think while you can curb your instincts a bit, you can't totally do away with it. As long as he's POSITIVE in attack or defense, it's okay.

Manjerekar saying that 'India are comfortably ahead' in this test match and 450 looks obvious. I think he's borrowed some of that stuff from Shastri. Absolute knobs these guys are.

Oh Manjeraker is a knob alright. I once posted something critical of him on twitter and whoa, the guy replied all butt hurt and what not.

Can't believe his is Sanga's final test Match. My favourite batsmen to watch ever.

Very under rated in terms of AT greats.[DOUBLEPOST=1440063832][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yep. Such an amazing record. I was mesmerised by his batting when Sri Lanka were last summer. I'm much more a fan of bowling generally, but Sanga was something else.

The only -ve thing I could say about Sanga is he could have had a better overseas avg. 47 is not bad, but should have been 50 atleast. Even so definitely in the A List of batsmen of the past 20 years. Same league as Tendulkar, Lara, Dravid, Steve Waugh, Kallis, etc.

Agree and disagree. While he was keeping and batting, his average was brilliant for a WK/Bat. His average has become Bradman like after he's dropped the gloves. Everywhere.

Again I disagree a little bit. When you are talking about the absolute A-List batsmen, there record should be unquantified. Which means there should be no question of, his record is good for a ________. Thats not how the A-List works. Those who belong there belong there completely.

So Sanga belongs there with his average of 56, there is no question of, good for a WK about it. However the one tiny downside still remains that overseas he should have averaged 50.

I look at this test side, and I see Binny or Saha come in at #6, signalling the start of the tail. When once Laxman used to walk out at the same position and the oppostion knew the hard work was just beginning. How the times have changed.

India need to stop monkeying about with the batting line up like they are doing. Settle on 6 proper batsmen (Vijay, Rahul, Dhawan, Kohli, Pujara, Rahane), a keeper who can bat (Samson), and then rotate as you go along.

Today Rohit walking in at #5 was the start of the tail. This needs to go. Rohit is a good T20 player, he can hold his own in the ODIs, but pls don't shove him on us in the tests. He doesn't belong. Anyway he has got a 30 here so that gives him license to play for the next 10 years, I suppose.
