It usually is. The side batting first has enjoyed two thirds of the wins at Premadasa since 2000. Brilliant captaincy by Dhoni, he's called the toss exceptionally well in this series.

The only series in which he has been good in this year has been the Asia cup, where the pitches were pancakes.

I point them out becoz it will be sad if Badri is left out after those twin failures whereas Yuvraj will easily retain himself in the side even after far more failures. I want Badri in there man. He has to be given chances. You know how much I was pissed off to see Badri pushed way back in the order today? I was hooting for Rohit Sharma to get out (eventually, Dhoni got out though I hated it as he batted brilliantly).
SUPERB WIN FOR INDIA! Again, they proved me wrong. To me, Zaheer Khan is the man of the series. His bowling has been absolutely brilliant. Munaf must qualify for one of the satisfying comebacks. So does Harbhajan! He is bowling far far better, he's flighting it more than darting it in and is picking up the wickets more often now. He's back. And Dhoni has been India's most reliable batsman in recent times along with Suresh Raina. Our ODI side is rolling on quite smoothly at the moment.
One thing we need to take care of, is the hurdle in the finals of tournaments played by more than one side (e.g. Asia Cup final, Kitply Cup final). If we take those two finals apart, our ODI record has been great under Dhoni. We have been winning quite comprehensively and we have been winning almost 90% of our matches.
total agree with you that yuvi gotta be dropped it's not fair with other palyers then and dhoni might be his friend but u gotta drop him enough is enough he had so many chances no hundered
Yuvraj needs to be dropped. He cant play spinners properly, and at the start, he is so vulnerable that you can get him most of the time at the start of his innings. Dravid used to be similar but atleast Dravid was immovable once set. But Yuvraj is not like that. He always gives chances no matter how much he has scored. Theres going to be a big fight for places once Sehwag and Sachin come back. It will be tough of Kohli/Badrinath if they are dropped (esp. Kohli after he has done so well with the bat). May be Sachin can retire peacefully. Kohli can slot into the middle order with Sehwag and Gambhir re-uniting.

You're right. Dhoni is India's best ODI batsman right now
hmm i dont think sachin going to retire cuz he has been great in odi and i think kohli or badri should be retained and yuvi must be gone and i dont get it he hasnt been performing and never gets dropped from odi
