India A v West Indies A - 3rd Unofficial One Day International 1991/2 - Calcutta

Pitch: 3 - Normal

Weather: 3 - Hot and sunny

Toss: West Indies A

West Indies A won the toss and elected to bat first, hoping for an improvement from their batsmen over previous matches in the series.
Wallace fell cheaply, and after some aggressive shots Ragoonath quickly followed.
When Holder and Arthurton fell cheaply as well, West Indies A were in a hole at 50/4, after 3 early wickets to seamer Venkatesh Prasad.
Left arm spinner Sunil Joshi pulled a muscle in the outfield around this point, leaving the field and leaving India A a bowler short, but being well on top at the time, and with 20 overs from Kapoor and Venkataramana in trouble, India A didn't feel the loss too badly at the time.
An excellent 69 from Chanderpaul allowed West Indies A to recover, and with handy support from the Reifer, Browne, and Perry, they made 189 all out of the final ball of their 50 overs.
It left them with a chance, considering the strength of their attack, but was still short of par.
Prasad took 4 wickets to continue his good form in the limited overs games.
India A began their reply badly, Rose putting West Indies A on top by having Laxman caught, and then knocking Mongia's off stump out of the ground in his next over.
This left India A 25/2 off 9.1 overs and West Indies A well in the game.
Dravid and Kambli quickly followed, and allrounder Robin Singh fell as well, India A were in a hole at 65/5 after 24.4 overs, requiring a further 125 to win off 25.2 overs at close to 5 per over.
After scoring at 2.5 per over for the majority of their innings so far, it didn't look likely.
A brilliant 67 by Gursharan Singh, and a steady 40 from allrounder A.Kapoor put India A back on course, with their partnership of 115 for the 6th wicket in 20.4 overs being a match turner.
Some streaky hitting by Chetan Sharma and Venkataramana, batting ahead of the injured Joshi, finished things off, handing India A a 3 wicket win with 10 balls to spare, and allowing them to win the series 3-0 with 2 games to spare.
Man of the Match was seamer Venkatesh Prasad, his 4 wickets allowing India A to bowl their opponents out and set what turned out a fairly comfortable chase, albeit after a difficult chance.
India A now have an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the series.

India A won by 7 wickets

Man of the Match: B.K.V.Prasad

West Indies A 189 all out (50 overs)
(F.L.Reifer 20, S.Chanderpaul 69, N.O.Perry 26; B.K.V.Prasad 4-40, R.R.Singh 2-34, M.Venkataramana 2-44)

India A 190/7 (48.2 overs)
(Gursharan Singh 67, A.R.Kapoor 40; F.A.Rose 3-48, K.L.T.Arthurton 3-45)

Sri Lankan Board XI v West Indies - T20 match - SSC Colombo

West Indies 61/2 (10 overs)
(D.L.Haynes 38*, B.C.Lara 3*)

Tight bowling by the Sri Lankan Board XI restricts the West Indies to 61/2 in the first 10, Lara probably the key now to a big total.

Can i take?

Not sure if you really want to pick both XIs when the time comes to play India v Sri Lanka matches.
Might not work so well, though I would trust you to be fair on both teams, doubt you would cheat to make one team lose seeing is there is no overall prize for winning.
Just might not be fun to play yourself in a World Cup final.
I am having fun picking a few XIs myself so I think I will continue with the Sri Lankans for now, but thanks anyway.

Sri Lankan Board XI v West Indies - T20 match 1991/2 - S.S.C.Colombo

Pitch: 4 - Normal

Weather: 4 - Hot and sunny

Toss: West Indies

West Indies won the toss and batted first, and though they lost a couple of wickets in a slow start, Haynes and Lara powered them to 146/2 off 20 overs with unbeaten half centuries.
Haynes carried his bat for 64* off 57 balls, while Lara was more aggressive in making 62* off 40.
In reply the Sri Lankan Board XI lost wickets steadily, and after 2 early wickets to an impressive Walsh, never looked like winning.
Walsh took a miserly 2-15 from his 4 overs, while Harper and Bishop took 3 apiece in a good allround display by the West Indies attack.
West Indies won the match by a comfortable 29 runs in the end, Man of the Match was Brian Lara for setting up a total that was quickly beyond the home side.

West Indies won by 29 runs

Man of the Match: B.C.Lara

West Indies 146/2 (20 overs)

Sri Lankan Board XI 117/9 (20 overs)
(R.S.Kalpage 23; C.A.Walsh 2-15, I.R.Bishop 3-22, R.A.Harper 3-21)

Ok,but don't cheat :p

@Nitrogen
I don't favour any team, if anything I am a poor manager because I have sympathy for the weaker players and give them more chances than I should.
Am giving everyone equal chances so far, just trying to do my best with what I have.
When I captain the teams when I sim games the batting tactics are the same for all teams, and when bowling I just do my best to bowl teams out as cheaply as possible and use my resources logically so the figures look right to the managers.
I may bowl some bowlers for less overs when the more competitive matches begin, just trying everyone out in the warmups.
There is also Stamina for bowlers which prevents me just bowling the best bowlers for 45 overs a day.
I basically just do what I think the team would have done at the time, am not trying to win, just trying to get players to perform well.

S.T.Banerjee in his first game of the Unofficial ODI series the first 3 wickets to reduce West Indies A to 25/3.
