WHAT! If we're losing to Young Zimbabweans, we're going to have a lot of trouble against the top sides... :/

Lol, batting is ok, but bowling has been poor so far, and now leading wicket taker Phil Tufnell is injured.
What are you gonna do now, I can't bowl Kim Barnett's part time legspin all tour.
90's looks like it's going to be a long decade for England all over again.

To be fair, Young Zimbabweans probably had a better bowling attack than the Board XI, and might actually be stronger than eventual Zimbabwe A side.

Pre match information for 5th Unofficial A Test in India:

India A v West Indies A - 5th Unofficial 4 day Test 1991/2 - Bangalore

Pitch: 90 - Nothing in the appearance of this strip suggests that it will misbehave. Dark coloured, flat and featureless it is expected to offer both batsmen and bowlers a fair contest. There might just be a little in it for the spinners late in the match but not enough to influence team selection.

Weather: 2 - Hot and sunny

Day 1 pitch: 5 - Normal

Injuries:

India A:
None

West Indies A:
E.A.Moseley - 1 match
A.H.Gray - 1 match
S.Ragoonath - 1 match
R.G,Samuels - 1 match

Injuries hit the West Indies A camp with strike fast bowler Tony Gray going down injured and missing the vital 5th Unofficial Test.
Gray took 8 wickets in the 4th Unofficial Test and has taken more than double the wickets of the next best West Indies A bowler on tour, he will be sorely missed for this big game.
West Indies A seem set to repeat the 4 pace bowler policy of last match, but the exact XI remains unclear at this stage.

Awaiting lineup for India A XI to begin game.

Sri Lanka choose what looks a full strength lineup from a full complement of fit players, while West Indies have injury worries.
Veteran keeper Brendon Kuruppu, chosen as opener/keeper will be one to watch in his final season with World Cup selection up for grabs in a few months.
Lara and Adams are missing from the middle order for West Indies, and how much this damages the visitors remains to be seen, particularly the loss of Lara given his early tour form.
Hard to pick a winner here with Sri Lanka often good in home conditions and the injuries weakening the visitors, maybe West Indies in a close one.

Toss: West Indies, who elected to bat first

West Indies 74/4 (10 overs)
(D.L.Haynes 23, P.V.Simmons 20; R.J.Ratnayake 2-17)

Sri Lanka v West Indies - 1st T20 International 1991/2 - Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

West Indies slipped in a hole 74/4, but were rescued by a match a face saving unbroken partnership of 66* for the 8th wicket between Best and Marshall.
Marshall showed all his experience in digging in with the more able Best, and at the halfway mark both teams would feel they have a chance in good cricket conditions.

Sri Lanka v West Indies - 1st T20 International 1991/2 - Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

Pitch: 5 - Normal

Weather: 4 - Hot and sunny

Toss: West Indies

West Indies won the toss, and though their openers got them off to a good start with the bat, found themselves 74/7 shortly after the halfway mark of their innings.
The loss of Brian Lara through injury was sorely felt at that point, but an unbroken partnership of 66* between Best and Marshall gave them something to bowl at.
Ratnayake and Warnaweera lead the way for the home side, taking two wickets apiece in miserly spells.
Sri Lanka fell to 58/4 in reply, with Ambrose among the wickets, but old heads Aravinda de Silva and Arjuna Ranatunga added 80 for the 5th wicket to settle the match.
Arjuna Ranatuna made an unbeaten 60* and won the Man of the Match award, showing his experience and cool head in the run chase.

Sri Lanka won by 5 wickets

Man of the Match: A.Ranatunga

West Indies 140/7 (20 overs)
(D.L.Haynes 23, P.V.Simmons 20, C.A.Best 46*, M.D.Marshall 23*; R.J.Ratnayake 2-26, K.P.J.Warnaweera 2-22)

Sri Lanka 142/5 (18.1 overs)
(D.S.B.P.Kuruppu 30, P.A.de Silva 31, A.Ranatunga 60*; C.E.L.Ambrose 3-26, M.D.Marshall 2-31)
