Score update, Stumps, Day 1:

Young Zimbabweans v England A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Harare

England A 286/5 (75 overs)
(H.Morris 36, J.P.Crawley 140*, D.A.Reeve 46, S.J.Rhodes 46; B.C.Strang 2-32, P.A.Strang 3-48)

A well paced century from John Crawley put England A on course for a big first innings total and was the highlight of the first day's play.
The Strang brothers bowled well for the home side, showing the potential that will see them play international level cricket within a couple of seasons.
A good over rate by the home side, and the extra half hour allowed the sides to make up some time for the play lost to heavy showers earlier in the day.

Score update, Tea, Day 3:

India A v West Indies A - 3rd Unofficial 4 day test 1991/2 - Bombay

India A 525 all out

West Indies A 273/5 (87 overs)
(S.L.Campbell 42, S.Ragoonath 42, D.A.Joseph 43, F.L.Reifer 83, S.Chanderpaul 32*, R.D.Jacobs 20*; N.D.Hirwani 2-52)

Some good batting by West Indies A have given them a chance of avoiding the follow on and possible defeat.
The openers started well, and apart from Arthurton, the others all got in on a pitch not helping the bowlers much but due to spin on the final day.

Score update:

Young Zimbabweans v England A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Harare

England A 462/9 declared (136 overs)
(H.Morris 38, J.P.Crawley 240*, D.A.Reeve 46, S.J.Rhodes 46, P.J.Newport 42, S.L.Watkin 29; B.C.Strang 3-84, G.J.Whittal 2-57, P.A.Strang 4-73)

Though he offered a few chances later in his innings, John Crawley marched on to a huge score, scoring more than half his team's 462/9 declared.
England A batted on until Tea on Day 2, intent on letting the pitch wear so their bowlers would have the best chance of dismissing the home side cheaply.
A result is still possible, though rain and England A's prolonged innings may have condemned the match to a draw.

India A v West Indies A - 3rd Unofficial 4 day Test 1991/2 - Bombay

Pitch: 80

West Indies A just about avoided the follow on in their reply, with Reifer and Chanderpaul the major scorers.
Hirwani claimed 5 wickets for the home side, and another 3 in the second innings, but 93 to Campbell and starts to most of the others allowed West Indies A to get away with the Draw.

Young Zimbabweans v England A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Harare

Pitch: 72

Toss: England A

England A made the most of good batting conditions, with John Crawley piling on a massive unbeaten 240*.
The Young Zimbabweans replied strongly, batting out the remaining time to finish 8 wickets down and 30 runs short of England A's first innings total.
Gavin Rennie was unlucky to be out for 97 for the home side, while 3 other batsmen passed the half century mark in a convincing reply.
It was a batsman's match, with most of the bowlers struggling on a pitch which refused to wear, but was tedious for the spectators apart from the batting of Crawley.

Drawn

Man of the Match: J.P.Crawley

England A 462/9 declared (136 overs)
(H.Morris 38, J.P.Crawley 240*, D.A.Reeve 46, S.J.Rhodes 46, P.J.Newport 42, S.L.Watkin 29; B.C.Strang 3-84, G.J.Whittall 2-57, P.A.Strang 4-73)

Young Zimbabweans 432/8 (136 overs)
(M.H.Dekker 37, G.J.Rennie 97, W.R.James 68, G.J.Crocker 86, H.H.Streak 64, B.C.Strang 25*; J.P.Taylor 3-76, P.C.R.Tufnell 3-65)

Score update:

SLC XI v West Indies - 50 over List A match 1991/2 - Khetterama Stadium, Colombo

SLC XI 100/3 (35 overs)
(D.S.B.P.Kurrupu 31, R.S.Mahanama 32, M.S.Atapattu 20*; I.R.Bishop 2-19)

Slow going for the home side on an Uneven pitch favouring all bowlers, a total of 180 probably being defendable on this pitch.

We are going very slowly. Hopefully a big partnership is right ahead.

An Uneven pitch is one of the hardest to bat on in this game, favours all bowlers, so it's often hard to score quickly when it's uneven.
Yeah. Not worried about scoring quickly. If batsmen play with patience and get the scoreboard ticking ( even if slowly ) then it's all good !

SLC XI v West Indies - 50 over List A match 1991/2 - Khetterama Stadium, Colombo

SLC XI 144/8 (50 overs)
(D.S.B.P.Kuruppu 31, R.S.Mahanama 32, M.S.Atapattu 32; C.A.Walsh 3-30, I.R.Bishop 2-32, R.A.Harper 2-29)

West Indies 22/2 (9 overs)

SLC XI collapse in the face of accurate bowling on an Uneven pitch helping all bowlers, Walsh doing most of the damage with 3-30.
West Indies lose both openers cheaply in reply, a slow start giving the home side some hope of pulling off an upset against a shaky looking middle and lower order.

SLC XI 144/8 (50 overs)

West Indies 58/4 (21 overs)
(C.A.Best 26; S.D.Anurasiri 2-3)

West Indies in trouble against tight bowling, captain Richardson appears the key now though he is scoring slowly and has not looked comfortable.

SLC XI v West Indies - 50 over List A match 1991/2 - Khetterama Stadium, Colombo

Pitch: 7 - Uneven - assists all bowlers

Weather: 6 - Hot and sunny

Toss: West Indies

West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first, and a disciplined display by all their bowlers restricted the SLC XI to 144/8 from 50 overs.
Walsh took 3-30 to lead the way among the bowlers, but they all played their part.
In reply West Indies slipped to 58/4, and with a suspect middle order under pressure it appeared the home side were in the game.
An unbeaten half century to Man of the Match Richardson settled things in partnership with Lambert, handing West Indies a comfortable enough 6 wicket victory.
It was set up by their bowlers, but it needed the cool head of Richardson to see them home after another inconsistent batting performance.

West Indies won by 6 wickets

Man of the Match: R.B.Richardson

SLC XI 144/8 (50 overs)
