This tour will feature the first Test between the two nations, who in real life did not meet at Test level until the one off Test in Sri Lanka in 1993/4.
The tour will also feature a couple of warmup games against players on the fringes of Sri Lankan selection.

If any managers notice any future Test players active at International, First Class, List A, or International Under 19 Level in 1991/2 or prior, not on their list of available players, let me know.
If the player was active at lower levels he may be available for Tour matches or A Team tours.

Proposed A tours for 1991/2

Not all teams feature enough players available to allow an A tour, but I have proposed the following for this season.

Pakistan A to Australia
England A to West Indies
Sri Lanka A to England

Any player active at List A, First Class, or International Under 19 level is available to tour.

If you would like to name an 18 man squad for a 3 Test and 3 ODI tour of South Africa in August 1991/2 from the available players lists you can.
The tour will also feature some warmup games.

Have started the blog dedicated to this league/story on blogspot.com.au

Planet Cricket - International Cricket - 1991/2 onwards

Full match reports, photos, scorecards, and statistical reports from this league/story will be featured there.
Potted scores and all discussions regarding team selection will remain here in this thread.
Just waiting on managers for the South African and Zimbabwean teams to sign up so we can get things rolling.
For now I will proceed with the West Indies tour of Sri Lanka, and the England tour of New Zealand, as managers for those teams have already signed up.

West Indies tour of Sri Lanka 1991/2 schedule up on the blog, along with pitch information for Sri Lankan Test grounds in 1988-1998.

@CerealKiller

Young West Indies opener Philo Wallace has been added to the available players list for West Indies in 1991/2 as he was active in ODIs at the time, you may add him as a replacement for this tour if you like.

@NaviN GandhI

Just letting you know, Ijaz Ahmed snr does not have a bowling card in this game due to not bowling enough in Tests, so will be unable to play as an allrounder in this story.
You may want to take this into account when selecting an XI.
Of the Pakistani batsmen, Aamer Sohail and Asif Mujtaba (based partly on first class stats) are rated as allrounders, while Javed Miandad, Aamer Malik and Saleem Malik are decent part timers.
If you want to take this into account and amend your squad you may.

All managers should be aware that players in this game are carded to produce performances at both an average and a strike rate similar to their real life performances.
Some weaker or less experienced Test players have had their ratings boosted based on First Class and ODI performances and will do better than they did in their real life Test careers.
A few players who played less than 6 Tests have had their ratings reduced to reflect First Class or ODI stats where small sample sizes would have given them an unrealistic rating.
Also, players not rated as Openers will take twice as long to settle when Opening the batting, and players rated as Openers will take twice as long to settle when not opening.
Some players are equally at home doing both, it just depends on the player.
This has a bearing on average and strike rate early in a batsman's innings, and can make a big difference in ODI run rates early in the match.
Players like Tendulkar and Mark Waugh who opened a lot in ODIs would be rated as ODI Openers, but not Test Openers
All Fast, Fast Medium, and Medium Fast bowlers gain an advantage with the New Ball, Medium Pacers and Spinners are unaffected.
All fielders have a rating for Ground Fielding, and Catching, and Wicket Keepers are rated both for Standing Up, and Standing Back.
You will find that any players you remember as being good in the field are carded as such, with weak fielders such as Phil Tufnell also rated accordingly.
Not all players have a bowling card, only regular Test, ODI and First Class bowlers receive a card, with some part timers missing out due to too few Test bowling appearances.
Players without a bowling card are expected to use a generic part timers bowling card that comes with the game, though in practice the card produces such awful stats there is little point using them.
I will let you know which players in your squad have a bowling card.
