Stuart Broad is the fast rising star of English cricket and set to lead the bowling attack in this summer?s fixtures against Pakistan, Australia and Bangladesh. A key member of England?s Ashes winning side of 2009, his man of the match performance against Australia at the Brit Oval saw him take 5 for 37 in the deciding test as he emerged as one of the world?s leading bowlers.

?It?s fantastic for me to follow in the footsteps of legends like Brian Lara and feature on the front of a Codemasters cricket game,? said England star Stuart Broad. ?I?m a huge gamer so it?s exciting to be involved with Codemasters, who have always produced the most authentic and realistic cricket games. When I?m away with the team tour, playing games on our consoles is a great way to pass the time and enjoy some banter. I can?t wait to take on the rest of the lads - and beat them - in International Cricket 2010!?

?Stuart Broad has established himself as one of the most exciting players in world cricket and we?re delighted to sign him up to feature on the front of the pack,? added John Szoke, Producer, Codemasters.

Produced by Codemasters and developed by Trickstar Games, International Cricket 2010 steps up to the crease with a range of innovations and improvements including a new player and AI confidence system. In International Cricket 2010 as in real life, confidence is key to success. In the test format of the game, gamers must play themselves in as batsmen and build momentum as bowlers, improving their ability to play advanced shots and take wickets. In shorter formats of the game, confidence can be gained and lost much more quickly as players look to take advantage of the pressurised conditions.

Other key enhancements include ?Action Cam?, the new camera that takes players right onto the pitch, and ?Power Stick? which gives 360? degree batting control to ensure International Cricket 2010 will deliver the most authentic interactive cricket experience ever.

Officially licensed by the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia to feature official players, stadia and kits, International Cricket 2010 can be enjoyed in a wide range of game modes including new instant tournaments, full test series and quick-fire Twenty20 matches. Gamers can compete as any of the expanded roster of 16 nations at an improved selection of 21 stadia around the world, including Lord?s, the Home of Cricket.

Complete with local and online multiplayer, International Cricket 2010 launches this summer for Xbox 360 & PS3. For the latest news and screens, visit www.codemasters.com/cricket

I don't see anything there about stats tracking. I doubt it will be included, which would be a major oversight - again.

What does "new instant tournaments" mean? This was in the game last time, where you choose 8 teams and play from the quarter finals. I don't understand why this was not explained properly.

Unfortunately, Codemasters have no real incentives to expand the game, because they attain a suitable profit margin from suckers who want to play some cricket - any cricket. And since it won't be on the PC, this time we won't be able to modify it either.

I'll just have to get something out of it by playing multiplayer with hMarka and dutchad.

i doubt helios is coming back here; even if he does he'll just post mindless updates and not answer any questions.

Guys stop being so personal, these guys who make these games aren't out to harm you in any way. Attack the game, not the people behind it personally.

^ no one's being personal

Yeah, OK - whatever you say...

BTW, my personal opinion of the guy is neither here nor there. He seems pretty good on the F1 stuff for CM - but if the consensus is that he's not so good on the cricket side, I'll accept that.

not going to happen

Never say never......

^You better wish you live a very long life and may be in year 2080 a game with features that you and most fans wish, can be created. In short it won't happen for many years to come :facepalm

You're a hoot! No one is being personal, when your last post has this,

"he'll just post mindless updates and not answer any questions."

Its not just here, its in the other thread to.

kinda pointless thread then..(in my opinion)
I request you mate not to blame Ian(Helios) for this. He is a community manager as he can't take any action until the senior authorities allows him to do so.
He cannot answer any questions at the moment because he is not allowed to do so. There are some policies and terms which restrict the Codemasters to provide any other information (rather than official announcements) until the investors and sponsors allows them to do so. There are many people and groups involved in this game and until they all allow to release some information, codemasters will not answer to any questions.

Even if you want to blame someone for lack of information, you should blame Codemasters even though it's not in their hands completely. You shouldn't attack Helios personally because he is doing his PR work.

And this thread was just for press release. Not for Q/A I suppose. I'll advice you to keep some patience my boy. Everything will come slowly by time.

At last, sorry for such a long post but I have to do so to because Riz's comments were unfair for Helios.

The thread was about the announcement of the player on the cover and the video and screenshots that game with it.

okay then :) that answers everything. still; you could get that of the cm website.

:laugh thanks for clearing that up :)

You couldn't get it when the thread was posted, he was just telling you to go and look at the Codemasters Twitter/FB pages so you'd know when the website is updated. If no one mentioned on the forum things that are on the cm website there would be next to nothing about the game here.

theres a real chance that this game would be realsed in december ashes time, rather than this summer, as it doesnt make sence as england will be playing pakistan and bangladesh, which wount encourage the die hard fans for cricket
