Liverpool FC vs Sheffield United

Liverpool FC have continued there great start to the 07/08 English Premier League season. Sheffield United have been on the wrong side of a smashing as Gerrard has continued his amazing form. Torres had a great game back after his break against Wigan and Kuyt was delighted to have a good game as he came in for Babel.

Sheffield just didn’t have any answers for Liverpool’s dominance as Torres landed 2 goals and assisted one while Kuyt and Gerrard scored 1 each with Kuyt setting up 2.

Torres celebrates his second goal.

Reina was angry that he didn’t manage to keep a clean sheet but admitted his defenders had a fantastic game but slacked off a bit in the last minute after a god corner from Sheffield lead to a goal.

Press conference:

Media: How would you describe your players performance today?

Benitez: I would describe our performance today as excellent. We defended well and attacked even better.

Media: Kuyt played really well, will he play next week

Benitez: Babel will play next week, it will be his last chance to prove himself after a few bad weeks. Otherwise Kuyt will play.

Media: Are you happy with your defenders?

Benitez: I’m an delighted with our defenders. They have done such a good job, all credit to them. All of them have started every game and have done fantastic. I think Sissoko at LB and Riise at LM instead of vice versa has worked really well.

I bring on Benayoun as a sub and I haven't had room for Voronin as my formation is 4-4-2 and I have 3 players fighting for CF and SS When Riise or Kewell need a rest/lose form Benayoun will be my first choice then Macherano.

BTW I'm playing on PS2 so I cant post a screenie of the table but after that Sheffield game I am coming first
