England should mix it up a bit in my opinion, give some of the players a rest or simply replace them if only for one game. Depends on the pitch, but even if it isn't a big turner I'd still be looking at playing two spinners.
I'd definitely give the two replacements a game, and try Trott at the top of the order. Broad could be a very big miss, he, Bresnan and Swann have taken 6-8 wickets each and 21 between them (75%) while the rest have taken seven between them.
Strauss : 280 runs @ 70.00
TROTT : 222 runs @ 55.50
Bell : 188 runs @ 47.00
MORGAN : n/a
Bopara : 90 runs @ 90.00
Prior : 20 runs @ 6.67
Bresnan : 19 runs @ 6.33 & 8 wkts @ 23.50 (ER 4.95)
Swann : 40 runs @ 40.00 & 7 wkts @ 24.29 (ER 4.36)
TREDWELL : n/a
Shahzad : 6no & 0/53 (ER 6.62)
TREMLETT : n/a
Might be a little light on the batting, but have any of those I've omitted done any better?
Collingwood : 47 runs @ 23.50 & 1 wkt @ 92.00 (ER 5.75)
Wright : 'specialist' sub fielder?
Yardy : 19 runs @ 6.33 & 2 wkts @ 79.50 (ER 6.12)
Anderson : 4 wkts @ 57.00 (ER 6.71)
Anderson is probably lucky there is no genuine all-rounder or bowler on better form. While he has taken four wickets to Shahzad's none, he has been expensive and prior to the last low scorer he returned 0/72 (vs Holland), 1/91 (vs India) and 1/49 (vs Ireland). In the role of key and experienced strike bowler he is not doing a great job, until South Africa (2/16) I would not count on a repeat of that performance, he isn't averaging 31.03 across his career because he is consistently good.
Broad will miss England, any feint hopes of winning the World Cup have been replaced. I could include Pietersen in that, shame is he has the ability and wastes it
