New Zealand in Bangladesh, October 2010/11

Yeah, I expected to be a problem of capacity of servers. With the World Cup coming up they should install more servers.

Surprisingly this is the scorecard that updates the fastest: 100/4 | BLACKCAPS vs BANGLADESH

But it has no commentary in it.

If your friend is currently writing this commentary he is pretty good at it.

D/L does help us IMO.
The only problem was we may get bowled out, but now we need only 110 runs with 6 wickets and 19.3 overs remaining.
That's over 10 overs taken away, without losing a wicket, even if we didn't pick up many runs.

These two just need to bat the next ten overs, as we have four big hitters in the shed.

I'd have preferred if we could bat slower to get the runs really.

If you think about it your way, then the batsmen could just pretend to themselves that they have thirteen overs less but then still have the leeway if they don't make it in that time.

should be ok there is enough batting left for sure but hopefully these two can get the bulk of them just to be safe

Yeah, I agree they should have taken away 2/3 runs an over, but hopefully it won't matter too much.

It appears that Vettori was caught, but then he objected to the umpire and saying that the ball was above the waist. And he got it eventually right. So he is not out.

His wicket would have brought New Zealand in big trouble.

Thank god. Here's the rule:

42.4.2 L aw 42.6 (b) Bowling of High Full Pitched Balls
L aw 42.6 (b) shall be replaced by the following:
a) A ny delivery, which passes or would have passed on the full
above waist height of the striker standing upright at the
popping crease is deemed unfair, whether or not it is likely to
inflict physical injury on the striker.
b) I n the event of a bowler bowling a high full pitched ball as
defined in Clause 42.4.2 (a) above, the umpire at the bowler?s
end shall call and signal no ball.
I f, in the opinion of the umpire, such a delivery is considered
likely to inflict physical injury on the batsman, the umpire at
the bowler?s end shall, in addition to calling and signalling no
ball, when the ball is dead, caution the bowler and issue a first
and final warning. The umpire shall inform the other umpire,
the captain of the fielding side and the batsmen at the wicket
of what has occurred.

Dunno why the commentator was saying it was wrong :?

New Zealand innings has passed 20 overs. Whatever happens, this will be counted as a match now.

Cricinfo is now one over behind with the commentary.

Just now I saw that the New Zealand innings has been cut short to 37 overs.

Oh no Dan

Taylor is also out. Bangladesh could actually win this.

This is bad commentary at the moment from the major websites.

This site is currently at 31.5 overs: 170/7 | BLACKCAPS vs BANGLADESH

Cricinfo is currently at 30.2 overs: NZ 161/6 (30.2 ov, LRPL Taylor 42*, NL McCullum 4*, Naeem Islam 1/27) | Live Scorecard | Cricinfo.com

Cricbuzz is currently at 28.2 overs: Cricbuzz - Match

New Zealand is now at 173-7 after 33 overs.

If I calculate it right New Zealand needs 37 runs needed in 24 balls with 3 wickets remaining.

New Zealand really needs to do something.
