England has won by 6 wickets. Mainly because of Strauss' innings. They managed to pull off a record runchase at Old Trafford. And England scored the runs on the sixth ball of the over just before tea. After this, probably tea would have taken, so there is no delay in that.

Wow. Now that's what you call an undeserved victory. Collingwood was desperately out of touch at the end of the piece, but he survived, and eventually found the middle. New Zealand were awful today, Vettori didn't bowl well, the seamers were pretty poor, but we batted very well. Beautiful innings from Strauss, Vaughan and Pietersen played well aswell. Very pleased, hopefully we'll follow it up with a win at Trent Bridge.

It wasn't undeserved: New Zealand dominated the first 2 innings (Though the first one was more 80:10 for them) while we annihalated them in the second innings.

Looks like the heavye roller did it Strauss played very well. Monty should get MoM if he hadn't bowled so awesomely we'd be out of this.

No, Strauss deserves it - the best performer in both innings. Monty was a liability in the first innings, offering neither control nor wickets.

Has to be regarded as one of our best victories ever to be honest. Who'd have given us a chance when we were steamrolled for 202? Well played England, you've proved that you aren't full on fannys after all.

Taylor's unbeaten 150 means he deserves MOTM, was a marvelous innings, took the attack to England, and made us look incredibly ordinary. MOTM has to be between him and Strauss though definitely, Taylor just edges it for me.

The man of the match award usually goes to a member of the winning team ayway. And it should go to Strauss rather than Taylor because Strauss' innings ended up having the most significance on the result.

Superb stuff - this'll be one to remember for a while. Hopefully we can build on this to win the next test and win the series later in the summer against South Africa. And there is stuff to build on such as first innings batting, wicket taking bowling etc. We aren't there yet.
