New Zealand in Sri Lanka Oct - Nov 2012/13

I think we've picked the best side for today. Good to see we're not playing both spinners. Hopefully we go alright

Williamson never gets out playing that stupid prod does he... :rolleyes

gogo Southee, get us over 250...

At least Southee got us a wicket before the close of play but we've still got an uphill job before us if we want to have a chance

I seem to be a one man band in here.

Time to party :cheers

Wow, NZ bowlers are running through SL here. Didn't really think it would be any match but, well done to NZ pacers to bring NZ back in the game big time. Need to keep on getting wickets though as Samaraweera and Jaya are both those sort of batsmen who can get stuck and move steadily.

oh McCullum :facepalm

I suppose we just have to accept thats the way he plays.. :facepalm

Really happy with the bowlers again, if only the damn batsman went out there and got some runs. When Mathews and Jayawardene were in 400-450 was definitely on the cards, so 246 is a good result even though they were 50-5.

Another dismal batting performance... It's great to see that the ploy of "resting" Guptill worked. Franklin couldn't buy a run, his Test days must be numbered. The only real batting positive was Flynn.

That was pretty typical New Zealand stuff. The whole test really

it was less one sided than the 10 wicket margin suggests, but I think sri lanka could still up there game.

they might bring in that 18 year old spinner, they said they'd see how randiv went and he was pretty useless.

Stupid performance from NZ in second inning. I thought they did fairly well to bowl out Sri Lanka for 247 but they needed a better performance in second innings. On Sri Lnaka side, nothing new but just another Herath show.

herath must be in the picture when we're talking about the best spinners in the world now, his record's better than swann's over the last 2 years.
