M. Crowe: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Eden Park for the first Test Match between New Zealand and Pakistan! The much awaited match is only a few minutes away from starting. The weather he is overcasted and there are chances of rain, but not 100%. But it looks like we will most likely get a full days play today. Now here's Ramiz Raza with the pitch report & the toss.

R. Raza: Hello everyone, and welcome to the start of this test match. The pitch here is excellent for batting. The pitch is hard and the batsman can bat all day on this. Batting first would be the right choice for any team on this pitch. We can expect big totals in this match.

Now it's time for the toss. The coin has been flipped, Inzimam calls tails...and tails it is. Inzi what will you pick?

Inzimam: We would like to bat first Ramiz.

R. Raza: Alright Inzimam, it was expected from the winner of the toss. Looking foward to batting on this pitch?

Inzimam: Yes I am Ramiz, this pitch has everything a batsman could ask for. It should not be that hard to post a good score on this pitch.

R. Raza: I see you have brought back Shoaib Akhtar into action in the first match.

Inzimam: Yeah, we were being a little bit unfair towards him and we have decided to give him another chance.

R. Raza: Thanks Inzi, Stephen a little bit disapointed in losing the toss?

Fleming: Yeah, I am actually. I was hoping to win the toss and bat first but that didn't seem to happen. But we now have to try best to get them out early as possible as it will be easy for them to get a huge score.

R. Raza: You only have 2 main fast bowlers, why so?

Fleming: Well we didn't have much choice. We were thinking of picking Bond but he was injured in practice just two days before we announced the tour. It's no major injury and we expect him to be back for the 2nd test. But for this test we have lots of batsman to help with the score as there is nothing in this pitch for the bowlers.

R. Raza: Alright thanks for your time Fleming. So ladies and gentlemen, Inzimam has won the toss and elected to bat first. Back to you Martin.

M. Crowe: Thanks Ramiz, well guys it looks like Pakistan is batting first. Here are the teams for the match

M. Crowe: Tuffey comes in to bowl his second ball to Hameed.

Thats edged and caught!!!! He's out! Tuffey strikes for New Zealand!

R. Raza: Amazing delivery. Hameed tried to defend the ball but gets a edge and it goes straight to the keeper and New Zealand strike early. Next batsman in is Shoaib Malik.

Pakistan 0-1 after the first over.

Tuffey is now causing major problems for the Pakistani batsman, Pakistan 4-3 in 3 overs!!!

Another 2 wickets fell in Tuffey's 2nd over. Amazing bowler from Tuffey. Malik and Youhanna both now back in the stands

Youhanna edges the ball also

4-3 after 3 overs.

Pakistan are now in HUGE trouble! Their idea to bat first on this pitch is totally back firing on them.

Afridi is now also back in the stands as Pakistan are 26-4 after 6 overs. Afridi hitting the only runs so far in this inning, went for a big shot over mid-on but was cut by miss-timing it. Vettori picks up his first wicket. Afridi scored 26 runs in 20 balls.

Inzi and Younis Aid Pakistan!

When in doubt, count on Inzamam to save Pakistan. Pakistan were 26/4 and the rest of the team was expected to collapse under pressure. But that did not happen at all. Instead Inzamam and Younis Khan came to Pakistans aid and put up over a 100 run partnership in the pre-lunch session.

In the 29 overs that were bowled in the first session of the first day, Pakistan managed to post a score of 141-4, with Inzamam getting his 50 off only 62 balls. Even with being under pressure, Pakistan's captain Inzamam-Ul-Haq decided not to give up the fight that easily.

Hey mate, in the first screen shot where inzi drives if you take a look at it Inzi is actually fielding instead of batting; the batsman is someone else. Then how did he make his 50. LOL? :rtfl

Bishop: Inzamam on strike, Vettori comes into bowl his last ball of this over. He bowls, Inzamam comes down the pitch...swings and misses and he's been stumped!!!

Smith: Gone! Bad move from Inzi to come down the pitch and pays for it with his wicket. Vettori strikes for New Zealand and gets the danger man out! Good Inning from Inzamam...he gets a huge round of appluse as he walks off. Pakistan are now 145/5

He he, it seems he has the Inzamam face for a New Zealand player but not for the man himself. Inzamam seems to be wearing the mask of Balaji. :D

That was a good fightback from Pakistan but sad that Inzamam is out. C'mon Pakistan! A total of 300+ would be good for them from now!

Good inning by Inzi motto.. alo alo :D
