New Zealand tour of Sri Lanka, 2009

I have to say I'm a little angry that we could only be playing two ODI's, but for some reason we are also playing two T20's. Why do we have to play India again we haven't been to Sri Lanka for six years and we are only playing two test matches, it's a joke.

It should be:

One three day warm-up
A one Day warm-up

Three test matches
And atleast three ODI's

That tour could be done in a month. The ICC is such a joke.

Why no Ian O'Brien?

He is more a test bowler than the shorter form mind you. He got spanked in the County T20 not to mention the World T20.

His One Day bowling has improved but your right, he is a far better test bowler. It's good to see him bowling well. Taking wickets against Middlesex is very nice also, Shah, Morgan, and Compton are all very good players.

this is such a ridiculous itinerary. Why does a team need 2 3 day warm ups in a 2 test series? Should just get rid of the 2 20\20s to make it a 3 test series.

The ICC has noting to do with that's happening with the West Indies.

I don't see why they have left Bond out of the Test side. His got 1-2 years left in him, from that its obvious they want him playing in major one day tournaments and why isn't Southee being looked at any more is he injured? That guy has potential

Southee was out of form a bit I think, he was hit for a century in an ODI. And I think they wanted to see Bond in ODIs first before they chuck him back into the test team, they need to see how he does against international opposition in a less pressured arena first.

Its not like he hasn't been playing cricket since his been out the New Zealand side, Southee should of been in the squad he needs to learn sub continent conditions
