It also goes against him that Rishabh's keeping has improved a lot. Especially when England toured India. Plus his batting stats don't even need to be mentioned.

That's a great start by NZ. Suddenly, 345 doesn't look daunting. It can change though. One wicket is likely to result in more wickets.

The odd ball has still kept low and time and again beaten the edge of the bat but NZ have batted sensibly to keep them in the game. Just a couple of wickets and we might suddenly see something different.

New Zealand are ridiculous at the moment. Their opening batter who hadn't ever opened until he got into the Test side but will inevitably average 50 is injured, so they've called up their 29-year-old journeyman reserve batter and he's like "yes, I too shall average 50". Sublime batting from Will Young

NZ's Day, except for Shreyas reaching 100 (the only small moment of Joy for an Indian fan today). Well Played.

At what point would India start to panic? The goal should be to at least a 100-run lead but looking at the way things are, NZ might take lead by tomorrow 2nd session.

NZ 152/1 in reply to India's 318 all out at the end of Day 2
Goes on to lose the match by 197 runs.

It happened before so it is likely to happen again?
Might not say it can happen but the match seems to follow the same plot. Btw we had a rain interruption for the last session on Day 2 with entire session being washed out.

What concerns me is NZs Run Rate along with the light being bad near close of play, preventing the full quota to be bowled. A wicket could triger a collapse, as the pitch will deteriorate. So, if India is aggressive for the win then any lead by NZ will make them anxious. Otherwise, still difficult for NZ to make a win out of it. Although, their determination has been excellent.
