New zealand's Tour Of India (Nov 17-Dec 07, 2021)

Since 2011 here at Wankhede, no team has won a game batting first!

Teams generally bat 2nd and score 500-550 runs and bowl out the opposition without having to bat in the 4th innings. And the sogginess will make it even more difficult.
Exactly, I thought we'll bat second and bat once. :facepalm

Now even Mayank Agarwal has scored runs under difficult circumstances. This confusion doesn't seem to end. I feel Rohit & KLR are still our first choice openers right now and if we are going to tour South Africa, I don't see why a change is required especially after the way the England tour had went.

Nice going for the Mumbai-born Ajaz Patel there in the first session and he used the conditions quite brilliantly.

Also on the Kohli dismissal, the decision seemed inconclusive and in no way it should've been given out. I don't understand that decision from the third umpire at all!

Hope Rahane's injury is something really genuine for which he was sidelined, rather than an excuse to drop him. Rahane doesn't need such buttering (he himself won't ask for it, knowing his personality).

I just hope Dravid can stand up for honesty and not allow any "lets lie for public's sake" tactics.

Indian umpiring was at its very best today :D.

After checking the bat or pad first Virendra Sharma was so exhausted that he didn't even go for the ball tracking and made the decision of Out in Air but was told by the on field umpire (another legendary Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary :lol) told him to complete the review process by going for the ball tracking rather than making a hasty decision.

Nitin Menon is good and I like the way he handles the situation but apart from him the others are just ...... Average.

It would have been fascinating to see the reactions if Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, or Joe Root had been given out like that by an Indian umpire in India.

I think the decision didn't have enough evidence to be given out. Benefit of doubt should go to the batsman. Irrespective of the batsman he shouldn't have been given out on that one.

I don't see a reason for the crowd to cheer Sachin Sachin when he isn't even present on the ground. Not fair on the Indian players if that was a criticism towards the batting effort!

He is doing it, Ajaz is doing it. Kumble, here he comes :p
