New Zealand having taken the lead in the second match against the Aussies at Sydney they have a upper hand in this series as they have just one to play . Its now confirmed that New Zealand are not gonna lose the test series . While the Aussies have to do the most of the hard work if they have to beat the inform New Zealand side . Weather and Pitch Report
Weather Report :The weather over in Perth is sunny and its really fine to get 5 days of cricket . The temperature is not that hot and the conditions are perfect for a game of cricket . The weather will remain the same through the five days .
Pitch Report :The pitch is looking a\hard which means the bounce will be even . The ball may come on the bat . There is some grass on the pitch which mean the bowlers will get some swing and some reverse swing during the evening .
The pitch will not be remaining the same for all the 5 days . Slowly it will be getting tougher for the batsmen . the ball will not come easily on the bat as the match progresses . Spin will come to play after 2 or 3 days .
Its an easy choice on winning the toss that is bowl first as it is a bowling paradise . The outfield is lightning fast and the ball will reach the fence very quickly .
New Zealand have won the Toss and Decided to Bowl first
Toss : Daniel Vettori won the toss and he decided to bowl first on this pitch . New Zealand have just made one change that is Mark Gillespie come back in for Jeetan Patel .
While there is no change in the Australian lineup which is a surprised as Ponting as still stuck with Bracken who was wicketless in the last test match .

New Zealand had asked Australian to bat first . The two openers Phil Jaques and Matthew Hayden arrived to take guard . While it was Shane Bond and Mark Gillespie fot the kiwis who were gonna share the new ball . Australia got of to a flyer as Jaques played a great cover drive for 4 in the first over itself . Australians were looking really confident and charged up to win this test match . The runs were not easy to come by . The ball was coming on to the bat nicely . Hyaden to smashed a couple of fours of the bowling of Gillespie . Australians had got a great momentum with them . Hayden and Jaques rotated the strike so that the bowlers have to change line and length continuously . Soon the 50 run opening partnership came . This was the first time in this series that the Aussies had not lost a wicket . Hayden was looking aggressive as he pulled Franklin for a huge one over square leg . Jaques to smashed Gillespie through the ground to the fence . Runs were coming easily for the Aussies . Kiwis needed a wicket some how . And they got one . Jaques was beaten by an inswinger by Franklin . Jaques was cleaned bowled by Franklin for 41 . Aussies were 99/1 .
Great Partnership by Hayden and Ponting
Next man in was the inform skipper Ricky Ponting . Hayden reached his 50 with a leg glance to fine leg . It was an useful innings by Hayden as he accepted the applause of the crowd . Ricky Ponting got off the mark with a great cut through point for 4 . Ponting was in his best form . He pulled Bond for another boundary . Wow ! Aussies were playing some sensible cricket as they also rotated the strike . But the partnership between Hayden and Ponting didn't last long as Bond bowled Hayden off . Hayden departed for 71 and Aussies were 141/2 . Next man in was Michael Hussey . Hussey was in his worst form of his life as he got off the mark of his first ball . But soon Hussey departed . Hussey was given lbw by Taufel . Hussey departed for yet another failure . Aussies were 144/3 .
Ponting reaches his century
Aussies were in spot of some bother as Michael Clarke came in . He and Ponting rotated the strike well . They ran between the wickets really well . Ricky Ponting smashed Vettori , Franklin and Oram for 4 . While Michael Clarke did the running job by giving Ponting the strike . But soon Clarke to smashed Vettori for huge six over long on and the next ball he smashed him for a four through covers . Momentum was again coming to the Aussies . Ponting soon reached his 50 with a straight shot to long on . Well player Punter . The crowd stood up and applauded him . He waved his bat and accepted the applauded . Just when Australia were looking dangerous Oram struck . Michael Clarke was trapped leg before by a good off cutter by Oram . Simon Taufel had no doubt what so ever to give it not out . Michael Clarke departed for 28 and Aussies were 218/4 . The big hitter Andrew Symonds was in . He and Ponting rotated the strike before Symonds went overt the top for 4 . Ponting to smashed Oram and Gillespie through the off side and Bond through the leg side for 4 . Ponting was 99 not out . He just played a cut to third man and yes he had reached his 100 . A well deserved 100 of 181 balls . He again started to take the attack to the Kiwis as he hit Bond for 4 through covers . Symonds was quietly rotating the strike on the other end . Partnership was looking dangerous but Gillespie struck . Gillespie got the thick edge of Ponting as Papps was able to catch it easily . Aussies lost their skipper for a well played 128 and Aussies were 311/5 .

Adam Gilchrist was the next man in . He was playing his last ever test match at the WACA as he was gonna retire after this test . The WACA crowd expected him score huge century but . Gilchrist had to go back . Gilchrist was plumed first ball by Mark Gillespie . Wow he came for just a min . Gillespie celebrated and Gilchrist departed for 0 of 1 ball . Aussies were 311/6 . About 1 hr of play was left . Cameron White who has been a great find by Cricket Australia came to bat . Symonds took the attack against the Kiwi bowlers . Symonds smashed Bond , Franklin and Gillespie for 4 . On the other side even White started hitting his big shots . He smashed Bond out of the ground for a six . It was very entertaining last hour . Symonds reached his 50 with a cover drive for a single . At the end of day 1 Aussies were 366/6 .

End of Day 2 - Aussies completely outplay New Zealand
Great innings by Symonds
Aussies return on day two in a fairly comfortable position . Symonds had just reached his 50 and White was also played a good innings of 28 . Bond continued the bowling on day to . He was not bowling well . Gillespie continued . The Kiwis were unable to control the scoring as the runs were easily coming . But soon the wicket came . That also of Andrew Symonds . Symonds got a thick edge to McCullum of Bond and a great innings came to an end . Symonds accepted the applause as he went back for a great 82 . Next man in was Brett Lee . Brett lee and Cameron White played some great shots as they dispatched Bond , Franklin and Gillespie all over the ground . This two were getting some important runs for the team . Brett Lee played two outstanding shots as he dispatched two Shane Bond balls out of the ground for a huge six .

Kiwis needed a breakthrough as this partnership was getting destructive . Lee and White had added some 47 runs in no time and the breakthrough came .
Bond had got the breakthrough of Lee. Lee was trapped lbw . A big breakthrough for the kiwis . Lee departed for 27 and Aussies were 431/8 . New man in was Mitchell Johnson . But he didn't stay long as Franklin bowled him out for 3 . Aussies were 434/9 . New man in was Nathan Bracken . Bracken and White rotated the strike well . White went after Vettori . White got some 3 boundaries of Vettori . Vettori finally got rid of White . White was clean bowled by Vettori for 42 as Aussies ended their innings for 460 all out .

Stephen Fleming and Jamie How opened the batting for the Kiwis after lunch . Lee started the proceedings for the Aussies . New Zealand were of to a good start . Fleming and How were looking in good touch as they looked really confident and rotated the strike pretty well . But the Aussies got the all important wicket of Stephen Fleming . Johnson bowled a beauty and Fleming edged it to first slip . Fleming departed for 12 as Kiwis were 21/1 . New man was Ross Taylor . But he didn't last long enough . Lee got a stunner to get rid of Taylor . Taylor was again bowled by a great Lee yorker . Taylor departed for 4 and kiwis were some sought bother at 26/2 . Aussies were having a great start . Peter Fulton came in . He and How tried to stabilize the innings with some singles here and there but the runs were very hard to come by . How was the next man to be dismissed . Lee getting a think nick of How and it was easily held by Gilly . How departed for 15 and Kiwis were in deep trouble at 41/3 .
Aussies celebrates some quick wickets
Kiwis over here needed a huge partnership . Scott Styris was the man in . He and Fulton gave some runs to their side . Styris also scored 2 boundaries . But all was in vain as Bracken got Styris plumed leg before wicket . Styris departed for a low score of 11 . And Kiwis were 63/4 . Kiwis were in deep trouble as Jacob Oram came in . They needed a huge partnership if they even had to avoid the follow on . Oram was looking in good touch as he played 2 cover drives for four of Brett Lee . But again the Kiwis were not able to convert the quick runs into huge scores . Peter Fulton edged on of Lee to Gilchrist as he departed for 21 . Kiwis were 84/5 . New man in was Brendon McCullum . McCullum and Oram rotated the strike well . But again as the partnership was being made it was broken by Johnson . This time Oram . Oram was trapped leg before by Johnson . He departed for 29 . Kiwis were 119/6

Captain Daniel vettori came in when Kiwis were in deep trouble but he didn't last long enough . He had to go back with just 2 runs to his name . Johnson bowled him with a great yorker . Kiwis were in real trouble at 121/7 . Franklin came in . Kiwis needed some 141 runs to avoid the follow on which was looking rather impossible . Andrew Symonds was given the ball . And what a change of bowling . He struck in his first over itself . Brendon McCullum nicked one back to Gilchrist as he departed for 22 and New Zealand were 136/8 . Shane Bond came in . Lee was again given the ball to finish up the tail and he did exactly the same thing . Franklin got a edge and was caught at second slip by Hayden and he went for 7 and 2 balls later Gillespie was plumed by Lee and he went for 0 . New Zealand were all out for 143 . Some 317 runs short of the Australian total which means that New Zealand will bat again today for least at an hour .

Aussies celebrates 2 wickets at the end of day 2
Stephen Fleming and Jamie How came to bat for the second time on the same day . Lee opened the attack for the Aussies . Kiwis were some 317 runs behind the Aussies . Fleming and How defended each and every ball they got . After about 8 overs only 3 runs were scored . It would be dream if Australia could get a wicket at this stage . And they got it . Stephen Fleming was bowled by Brett Lee . It was a great ball to get rid of Fleming . Fleming departed for 2 and kiwis were 3/1 . The night watchman Shane Bond was sent . But he had to return the second ball he faced . This time it was Johnson who trapped Bond leg before . Bond departed for 1 and Kiwis were in very deep trouble at 4/2 . Ross Taylor was sent in . He and Jamie How defended the ball coming onto the stumps and left those which way outside the off stump . With this New Zealand ended day 2 on 8/2 which was 309 runs behind the Australians in their Second innings .
