Australians Crush the Kiwis

Lee celebrates early wickets​

New Zealand were very close to a crushing innings defeat . Jamie How and Ross Taylor came out to bat . Lee opened the bowling day 3 . And he was so effective that he struck in his first over on day 3 . Jamie How was plumed leg before the last ball of the over . How departed for 6 and Kiwis were 10/3 . Peter Fulton was the next man in . New Zealand were in real trouble . Taylor and Fulton stabilize the innings some how by a well made 63 runs partnership including 3 boundaries by Taylor and 2 boundaries by Fulton . But the Aussies got the breakthrough of Fulton . Fulton was caught easily by Ponting at slips and Lee struck again . Fulton departed for 18 and Kiwis were 73/4 . Scott Styris came in . He and Taylor put a 52 runs partnership . Taylor did the most of the scoring as he reached his 50 . A well played 50 by Ross Taylor . But soon it Johnson who got the better of Styris . Styris was bowled by a inswing ball and Styris went for 35 and Kiwis were 125/5 .

Century in vain of Taylor​

Oram was the man in . Taylor and Oram again got some runs with an important partnership of 75 runs . Taylor smashed 4 boundaries in that and Oram scored 2 boundaries and a six . Oram was dismissed by Bracken on 29 . Oram was caught easily by Clarke a backward point . Kiwis were 200/6 . Ross Taylor was not out on 92 when McCullum came in . Ross Taylor soon reached his test century with 2 superb cover drives . It was a splendid innings by Ross Taylor just when the Kiwis needed him . But it was probably not enough . Ross Taylor was soon given leg before . Taylor was unhappy has he had nicked it but he had to go . He departed for 105 and Kiwis were 221/7. The crowd stood up and gave him a big round of applause as he departed . Daniel vettori came in . He had to go back just playing two balls . Vettori was bowled by Lee for 2 . And Kiwis were 223/8 . James Franklin and Brendon McCullum put up a partnership of 84 runs . The partnership included some great fours by McCullum and Franklin . McCullum also raised his 50 . But White got rid of Franklin when he was on 31 . Kiwis were 307/9 . Gillespie was the last man in and he didn't last a ball . White finished him with a googly and Gillespie was bowled .

Australian celebrates the victory​

Australian celebrated the victory . They all were happy . Lee was the hero for them . Australian had beaten New Zealand by an Innings and 9 runs and drew the 3 Mobile Test Series 1-1 . It was a very memorable series for Adam Gilchrist as he ended his Australian career on a high . Brett Lee was surely the hero for the Aussies .

Mark Taylor : Welcome to the presentation ceremony of the 3rd test match of the 3 mobile Test Series . We were able to see great entertaining 3 days of Test Cricket . Australia just completely outplayed the Kiwis to draw the test Series . Now I would like to call the losing captain Daniel Vettori .
Daniel poor performance by the team ?

Daniel Vettori : Yeah , it was real poor performance by the team . We didnt bowl well on day 1 and the Day 2 and Day 3 we didnt at all bat well . Australians just outplayed us in this match in each and every session .

Mark Taylor : So what positives will you be taking for ur next tour which starts in a weaks time in England .?

Daniel Vettori : We have a lot to take from this tour . We have beaten the world champions in their own den in the ODI series and gave a tough fight in the test Series . Yeah , next tour will be a cracker of a tour as India and England are real strong sides to beat . So we will have some confidence about beating the Aussies . I would also like to thank Ricky and his boys for such a great 2 months of cricket which was played at the highest level . The fans were great as always . So hopefully looking to meet you again .
