I suppose your right, but i'd rather him debut at The Oval than Brisbane.

Brisbane is one of the fastest hardest wickets in the world I think. Harmison and Broad tearing in would be great :D.

It's a shame we didn't have Broad at Birsbane the last time we toured. Given that Nasser bowled first!

I had the choice of two matches to go to in that series; Brisbane or Sydney. Why oh why did I pick Brisbane?

Mohammad Asif and Rana Naved will be comming back to England to play in the last test.

That should mean Shoaib Akthar wont play.

Mohammed Asif and Rana Naved will be coming back to England and may play in the final Test. Nothing is certain yet. Asif may be fit but I highly doubt that Naved will be.

And we knew all along that Shoaib wouldn't play.

Not to mention they haven't bowled since the injury.

both rather serious injuries and lengthy lay offs.

Agreed. It is stupid to risk two of your best bowlers in a dead game. I'd rather them play though, because as I have said time and time again, they will have very little match fitness, and they won't bowl very well at all.

well they would need a starting point to bowl again wouldnt they ? so why not just bowl here and get some fitness for odi's

Because the ODI's are about 2 weeks away from now, and if they can play a few practise matches between now and then. Throwing them straight into a Test match is just stupid; They don't have enough match-fitness.

My team for the fourth test:

Marcus Trescothick
Alistair Cook
Andrew Strauss (captain)
Ian Bell
Kevin Pietersen
Paul Collingwood
Chris Read (wicket keeper)
Sajid Mahmood
Matthew Hoggard
Steve Harmison
Monty Panesar

Ian Bell at 4? Three centuries on the bounce at 6 would suggest otherwise. I'd like to see Colly at 4 to be honest.

I haven't seen anything on that on Cricinfo. I heard something on Geo TV, but I don't always trust their news.

I wouldn't read too much into it to be honest. I don't understand how Rana Naved was ruled out for the entire test series, and now he is being tipped for a comeback?

I stand by the fact the captain should be at 3. Ian Bell suits 4 in my opinion, but his recent performances at 6 may suggest otherwise! I think Bell is the type of player that can fill in before the big hitter Pietersen arrives, and Collingwood adds some runs down the order.

Naved and Asif haven't been confirmed as playing in the 4th test, they are just coming over before the 4th test. More likely they will play in the ODI series.
