i understand what you are saying its just when you said You cant be sure that all of the absentees of Pakistan would guarantee you a good performance. Need I remind you that England aren't full strength either? it sounded as you think i am only going for pakistan. i do want pakistan to win but i am fair

Because Rana Naved nevertheless would be selected above Gul and Nazir. His ODI performances gives him chances in the Test side.

And I don't think Anderson has a chance of coming back into a Test team if all the England players are fit. Vaughan makes a good score once in 4-5 innings. I would insert Cook or Bell above him.

No worries, I just get tired of some Pakistan fans blaming injuries for their series defeat.

this match is far from over pakistan have a great start but still a lot of work left to do

Is there any one thing about why England aren't doing so well? Like great bowling, really bad batting, good bowling pitch/atmosphere or is just one of those things?

Good bowling mostly.

Good bowling my Asif. I see a few questions arising over his action, and I too initially did have my doubts. But then, its upto the umpires and the ICC to decide.

Apart from Flintoff, I don't think that Simon Jones, Vaughan and Ashley Giles are big difference makers. I saw only Jones making his mark in the Ashes, but apart from that I didn't notice anything. The 'replacements' are doing good enough and even better then them.

For Pakistan Shoaib Malik has established himself as an opener, Rana Naved is an useful ODI bowler and about Shoaib Akhtar everybody remembers, when England toured in Pakistan, he change the match.

It looks like Cook has settled himself.
Simon Jones is as crucial for England as Freddie. But being an allrounder, Freddie has a greater contribution. Michael Vaughan too plays those match saving and match winning knocks, which have been crucial for England.

England too were without Monty and Simon Jones during the Pakistan tour. Besides England have won both test matches by huge margins.

Monty never even played a match at the time of Pakistan tour..if u say u didnt have Monty, then we can definetely say that we didnt have Asif for test matches...but theres no point of talking about who was there and who was not

A Pak bowler does well and now there are questions over his action

It's got nothing to do with nationality, he just stated that it looks a bit dodgy. He also rightfully said that it isn't his decision to decide whether it's right or wrong.

My personal opinion is that the series score might have been different if Pakistan had Rana, Akhtar, Asif & Malik all the matches.
England can't "blame" on the injuries because their "reserves" are doing a great job and the lads need thumbs up for that!
But Pakistan can "blame" on the injuries, just look at what Asif has done and England are 100-5! They would never been 100-5 with Sami in the attack! :p
Sad, but true!
But the series is now over and no need of fighting over it! :)
My personal feeling says 5-0 to Pakistan in One Day if not any injuries! :)

Is SkySports down for anyone here watching on NTL in the UK?

I've got a black screen.

As I say that it works.

20 minutes down time. Useless plurks.

Can't go an England Test summer without a collapse can we? :D

:crying

I hope Nasser Hussain ends up having to eat his words where he said something along the lines of, "Why woud Inzy bowl first? You aren't going to bowl England out for 200, maybe not even 300".

An Oval pitch that is also offering something for the batsman, unusually too.
