As David Lloyd would say, it's start the car time. Where is Geraint Jones when you need him?

Is SkySports down for anyone here watching on NTL in the UK?

I've got a black screen.

As I say that it works.

20 minutes down time. Useless plurks.

Can't go an England Test summer without a collapse can we? :D

:crying

It's constantly crackling up for me, partly due to the rain and thunderstorms.

Chris Read has the perfect opportunity to cement his place now, a hundred here will get him in the XI at Brisbane.

And no, we can't even go a whole tour without a collapse. :p

My personal opinion is that the series score might have been different if Pakistan had Rana, Akhtar, Asif & Malik all the matches.
England can't "blame" on the injuries because their "reserves" are doing a great job and the lads need thumbs up for that!
But Pakistan can "blame" on the injuries, just look at what Asif has done and England are 100-5! They would never been 100-5 with Sami in the attack! :p
Sad, but true!:)

All if's but's and maybe's, suppose your opinion will be different if Pakistan win the last test match.

He's playing for Kent up in Yorkshire. I'm quite happy with Chris Read for now though.

But the series is now over and no need of fighting over it! :)
My personal feeling says 5-0 to Pakistan in One Day if not any injuries! :)

well nothing can be done now...we beat them at home, theyre beating us at home, both teams are very even in my opinion when fully fit...
good news is that Sami is GONE FOREVER.

Someones deluded.

Read is doing well here 26*

England need their tail to produce runs, 250 would be good after our failure.

Seriously I can't believe people still think Jones is better than Read at the moment, it's laughable.

134-6 at Tea.

Mahmood should've gone to a easy stumping from Akmal who is having a terrible tour.

Apart from Flintoff, I don't think that Simon Jones, Vaughan and Ashley Giles are big difference makers. I saw only Jones making his mark in the Ashes, but apart from that I didn't notice anything. The 'replacements' are doing good enough and even better then them.

For Pakistan Shoaib Malik has established himself as an opener, Rana Naved is an useful ODI bowler and about Shoaib Akhtar everybody remembers, when England toured in Pakistan, he change the match.

It looks like Cook has settled himself.

Now with Giles I agree but Vaughan and Jones are big difference makers.

Vaughan scores big runs and plays innings when under the quash.

I agree with you, even i'm convinced that Read is number 1 for us now. If he can somehow usher the tail for a 100+ runs now, then it will be a top effort.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Read is perfect (Not at you Evo) but he is scoring runs, which is what we need.

He looks a bit frail at times but he does put the bad balls away.

I'll agree with you on the fraility issue, he does seem to be very edgy early in his innings, but as you said, he gets runs. He got 38 and 55 in the last Test, more than Jones has got for a long while.

Saj seems to be doing better since that stumping chance.

39 off of 50 this partnership.

Is it just me, or does Mahmood seem a better option than Plunkett?

For me plunkett's the better bowler..Mahmood's got the edge with the bat..

Neither are test No. 8's imho

MAhmood gone
