play due to start 11:15 pm, assuming now more rain.
Must be an awful lot of rain then!

If England can score fairly in their innings, in these conditions I think they have a suitable bowling attack to win.

won't be a 50/50 match...cos time will be lost, forecast is for afternoon rain.

200 might be good here..

I'd give Lewis the New ball with broad..bring gough on 1st change

and the rain returns...

doing the Hokey-Cokey with the covers.. :D

I meant from Chapple's own team, but fair play.

Anyways, they've lost an over a side at the moment. Botham suggesting that Read should open, I'd like to claim that great minds think alike at this point.

agreed..cos the ball is going to be doing it..

may as well have a swing..at Akhtar's pace the ball should go safe if you get enough bat on ball. (in theory)

strauss out 1st ball...here we go again...

Dear me, I turn over from Soccer AM to find that we are 3/1! Pakistan know exactly how to bowl early on, wheras we don't. Ah well, it's more than likely to be a washout anyway.

Asif is one for the future. Fantastic bowler. Puts the ball in the right places.

going to be so hard to get any momentum if we're on/off every few overs..

Cricket in september..hmm

Against Average county players it is. Put that in the International game and it would be 5.5 easily, which is too much.

He's got experience of opening for Notts a few years ago and in this current squad, there is no one else to open, apart from Maybe Bell. But Read is useless down the order, so he may as well have a go at the top.

I'm sure you noticed that he wasn't responding to me though, right?

Yes, but you're still trolling him telling him to stop acting like an idiot. Which isn't neccesary.

He's a legend and a brilliant death bowler. Didn't do well in his few England ODIs, did well in Tests ironically. But his List A record is brilliant, he has been behind our successes in the recent times.

He has, But I really don't agree that he is usless down the order. Even the old Read before his improvement over the last 2 years did well for England down the order.

down to 40 overs a side now...

18/3..from 9

England are a joke..

just defendig is playing into the bowlers hands, lack of aggression..

25/3 off 12..

wonder if we will make 100?

need a "KP special" if we're going to be competative here...

Pietersen looks like hes getting going... then gets out. Can we have a vbookie on anyone passing 20?
