well England were poor in the first 10 overs and and poor in the last 5 overs..

rest wasn't bad..

Strauss can't open in ODI's, cos he's too authodox, he can't manufacture shots and he doesn't have to power to "slog". The same can be said of Bell.

Basically England can not improvise and have no flexibility. Until they learn how to, they won't be successful in ODI cricket.

When was England's last ODI win? I can't remember when we last won a game, let alone a series..

edit: I know akhtar and Asif bowled well, but don't you think we "allowed" them to bowl at us, and thats why they did well?

Can u see other countries being so "passive" against them? i can't....

Those bowlers in those conditions I think most teams would of crumbled, admittedly they'd of done better than us but I doubt many teams would of been able to fight off that attack.

England didn't attack at all..

when was the last time u saw an England batsman making use of the fielding restrictions by going over the top?

Its worth a go, at Akhtar's pace even a mis-hit could go for a boundary....

Engand rarely get past 50 in the openening 15 overs these days..most "good" ODI teams have 60-80 runs at that stage. This means they can effectively "cruise" during the middle overs, scoring at 3-4 rpo without takig a risk....

meaning they have wickets in hand for the slog at the end of innings..

England beat India once during their 6-1 drubbing :)

Good game for Pakistan. Should definitely get their confidences up. I love when Inzi gets in one of those moods ;) And it was fun to watch Asif egging KP on, it worked too. Two more dismissals and Asif will have dismissed KP in ODIs more than anyone else.

Ireland are an official ICC team, so it was a win.

Today was a bowler friendly pitch and conditions given the right bowlers. (Lewis, Asif and Akhtar in no order!)

Nightprowler we lost 5-1!

Eddie, I think Bell is good enough in ODIs, not every player needs to slog, Atherton disproves this as he had one of the best starts to his ODI career in ODI history. (Surprised me too).

Strauss won't be dropped as he is captain. Perhaps he could be saved for the mid innings where it requires nerdling for alot of time. We open with Bell who atm is putting the majority of bad balls away and is in outstanding form. Unfortunately as Tres is out of form we won't win because he's the class act (One of the best ODI openers around when on form) that gives our innings the running start.

Can I just add my dissaproval of Asifs finger wagging at KP when he got him out, I don't like it to that extent.

Absolutly fantastic bowling from Asif and Akhtar. What a perfect combination. Asif I am sure has a huge sucessful career ahead.

England played crappy again Pure and simple. They don't attack the bowling enough. They don't learn. They may need to find some quicker scoring top order players from county cricket to come in. They don't score at a quick enough rate. They totally waste the powerplay overs.

Finally they use Lewis. I have been waiting for that. I knew he would be the best of all of them (which is why hes in my fantasy team). Gough has been there done that. Not up to standard anymore. Clarke has been alright but he isn't a wicket taker. Dalrymple for some strange reason was never used??? Whats up with that. He hasn't bowled that badly. Broad didn't have the best game.

England just pure and simple suck at ODI's and they have absolutly NO hope at all of making a Champions Trophy final or World Cup Final. There is no way they can turn things around. The England confidance must be very low.

Credit to Pakistan, they totally dominated.

Yet when Simon Jones did something similar to Hayden last year he was fined.
