Yeah, but the thing is that England is performinc well without these players.
I am not trying to make any excuse that "England are winning because of the injuries we have". Don't get me wrong..
It's just that it's a big miss for Pakistan since our reserves are so crap...

I wouldn't call them crap.

Nazir has done well.

Really struggling with finding some openers though. Really ever since Saeed Anwar hung up his boots/beard.

Nazir has done well, but I reckon he'll be the one who departs for Asif, instead of Mohammad Sami, who has been poor.

lead of 98, and 61 overs remaining.

how much do u guys reckon england will have to score to declare...maybe 250 more in this 61 overs..which should give them a lead of around 350..

They won't declare imo. Maybe at lunch tomorrow with a lead of 450 but with this pitch and with the runrate having been so high this match they're not going to risk a declaration.

I agree with that. A draw wouldn't bother me too much here anyway. If The Oval plays like Old Trafford then we have big chance of winning there.

I really think they should declare with a lead of 350-375 in early overs tomorrow. Pak would be under huge pressure to save the series, and that could lead to their downfall

350 in a day on this pitch is defiantley an achievable score. the fact that Pakistan bowled superbly for the first 10 overs of today but still went at 6 an over suggests that Pakistan could easily chase 350 tomorrow.

What everyone seems sure on is that England have little chance of winning. It's unlikely that we will be able to bowl Pakistan out for a total of 350, and I think Struass is going to play for a draw, considering that the Oval will likely favour England.

I think England should go for victory!
Oh crap! 155-0!
Jeez!

OH COME ON! Inzamam is sent on hospital because of chest and stummic pain! :( Exactly what we need. We were so good last year and on right turn for the World Cup. I am starting to get worried let's hope we don't see a 2003 scheme again! :crying

Well, let's pray it's nothing serious for Inzamam..
Hospital... :upray

Oh, Thank God! :D
Wicket for Pakistan! :)

If England were going for win, wouldn't it be smart to put KP instead?

The mcdonalds in leeds must of had a problem.

Great wicket for pakistan, especialy as it was tres who can score very quickly. Hopefully Strauss can get another hundred, he is great at getting second innnings hundreds and setting a target.

Always good for spin bowlers as well (mainly Saqlain Mushtaq in recent years).

Speaking of Spin bowlers, England have been playing Leg Spin really well these days. They played Kaneria well in Pakistan and now in England, and did well against Kumble in India.

I hope the King Kangaroo is taking notes.

Batting is not easy. England have had a bit of luck early on, and I would be surprised if we get past 375.

I'd like to see us bowling tonight, to give us a decent chance of the win. I hate this negative stuff of batting on and on, so I feel the wickets tumbling may help us. 10 overs at their out of form openers tonight, could leave the door ajar, especially if Inzamam is batting down the order. We need a full day to take out Pakistan, we just need to scramble a lead of 300 or so first.

We may be negative, but can you blame us? Pakistan are more than capbale of knocking off any total we set them.
