We may be negative, but can you blame us? Pakistan are more than capbale of knocking off any total we set them.
They have two in form batsmen and Inzi, who is always capable. Apart from that there is nothing to fear. Their openers will be nervous as hell without runs behind them, Akmal doesn't look himself with the bat when he's done poorly with the gloves either. Add to that a tail starting at 8 and we have a decent chance. Plus, having 10 overs or so tonight, allows Hoggard and Harmison a longer crack with the new ball, rather than having to revert to Mahmood straight away. It makes more sense in my opinion. We need to take our chance to wrap up the series, before who ever comes back in for the 4th test.

I suppose your right, but I wouldn't go hell for leather to win this one, when we will be favourites for The Oval, as the pitch will suit us more.

How is it going to suit us more than this one? This pitch is doing all sorts, if we can't take wickets on this, then Hoggard et al may as well not show up for the Ashes. But seriously, why not take advantage of having Pakistan chasing 300 on the last day? All it takes is the coin to come down the wrong way at the oval and we could be looking at Pakistan racking up 600 or so, it's a risk that I'd hope we're not stupid enough to take.

Well it's certainly going to be interesting tomorrow but I really think we need 350+.

If we somehow manage a 400 lead, then i'll feel safe. the way Pakistan batted in the first innings doesn't make me feel confident.

If Akhtar and Asif are total fit for 4th, they gonne rip through the English batting. Just hope they are. Because this bowling of ours looks poor, and I hpe Younis Khan is the keeper for next game, as he has done it before. Kamy is stuggling. Hopes for Iqbal kick out.

Akhtar isn't totally fit at all! Where the hell are people getting this from? Even Bob Woolmer says he isn't fully fit. Regardless of whether or not he plays, he won't be fit enough to bowl at full pelt.

8 down with a lead of 300. Who said it was going to be a draw? :p

I never said draw, I said a Pakistan win. Now who is the stupid one? Pakistan are probably favourites for this match now. For the first time ever, I am going to win some Vcash.

I don't think Pakistan are favourites. They're going to have to chase 300+ on a 5th day pitch, plus Monty can keep the runs down and cause problems.
The match will be decided by which versions of Matthew Hoggard and Steve Harmison turn up. If it's the versions we saw in the first innings then we're looking at 1-1 come the Oval.

That's why i'm so pessimistic; If we manage to get Sabina Park Harmison, and Johannasburg Hoggard, then we can easily win, but if not, Pakistan win it.

If we can manage to get rid of either Yousef or Khan tonight then we have a great chance.

Also, if Read somehow gets a hundred here then I officially like him better than GoJo. A century really would book his tickets for Brisbane.

Good 50 for Read. Err. Pakistan Zindabad! (I think)

Yep, well played Read, and no way is Monty a number 11. That cover drive would have made Sobers proud.

Read gone! Come on Pakistan! Salman and Taufeeq need to bat out these 1 or 2 overs we're going to have and then Yousuf, Younis and Inzy should knock off the remainging runs. :P

Great bowling on that kinda pitch. Common guys we came make it 1-1.
