This is a great runrate for a Test match (3.32). Most likely Pakistan will lose this match as well.

England can only lose this match, because of rain interruption or some players being retired hurt.

Asad Shafiq will be big for Pakistan, not like that clown Umar Akmal. Great footwork, full face of the bat, and classy like an Indian batsmen. Best of all he actually looks to rotate the strike, so unlike a Pakistani.

man this Asad guy has really impressed me too, technically correct, rotating strike, supporting the team ATM. He should be given more chances.

The partnership Shafiq-Alam is crucial for the match. I can't see Umar Akmal, Afridi and Razzaq holding out that long on this pitch.

Big problem in Pakistan is that they tend to include 'action' players in the side, while in this form of cricket they need innings builders. Especially at the top. They are enough Pakistani batsmen, who can do that, but it's just difficult for them to get into the side.

Well done on Pakistan on getting 95-4 after 24.2 overs at The Oval. We probably should have had another 2 wickets too, both Wright and Swann appeals were out.

It's a 300 pitch, if not more.

I should have known that sooner or Umar Akmal would go aerial and would go out.

120 runs after about 30 overs is not good enough.

Akmal has no self control at all. He's good for nothing bar Twenty20s as things stand despite the fact he has all the talent in the world.

Funny moment here. Afridi hit a four to long on and the umpire and Swann immediately ducked.
