I think Batting needs abit of work.

Of the current lot only Younis and Yousuf have played tests in New Zealand (if im not mistaken) and not even 10 tests when combined.

Its obvious on who the batting will depend. I can see Pakistan struggling a bit when it comes to batting. I would still say their batting lineup is better then New Zelands because of Yousuf and Younis.

NZ conditions will make batting close to impossible for the Pakistanis. Their best bet will be to perform with the ball, although Gul seems dodgy in Tests and Aamir is still largely untested .

I think that Gul will enjoy the pitches in NZ. His record isn't all that bad considering he player 15 of his 21 tests in the sub continent. I think that he has what it takes to lead this attack, and in my opinion at this moment Umar Gul is probably the best reverse swing bowler in cricket.

No doubt that Gul is a good bowler but he seems to struggle with long spells and in the longer formats.

It might just be a temporary lapse in form but I get the feeling that he is slowly becoming a 2020 specialist.

Why do people keep thinking our surfaces are a bowlers paradise?

Many of them are roads these days. Napier would be up there with the best batting tracks in the world. The Basin is fairly flat these days and it doesn't matter what Dunedin produces as that game will be rained out.

i think what people are saying is that the pitches in NZ offer more then the ones in Pakistan. At least tats what I meant.

yea I guess that is true for most countries nowadays, even in Australia some pitches are becoming less favorable to the fast bowlers.
I hope the ground staff prepare something a little more bowler friendly.

On a side note it will be nice to see Bond back in the test team.

TBH, none of those players are household names in NZ.
They have all had patches off brilliance, but that is by no means a supreme bowling attack...
In the OD game we have 3 bowlers inside the top five, while PAK have none inside the top ten in either format.
I feel PAK have the edge in the batting department, but both order have been known to be very inconsistent.
