Next month Ross is announcing a game at E3 other than Cricket so we might be looking at a longer wait here I am afraid. I really think the game will come out before the start of second Ashes series now.

Also, I see brand "new engine and building from the ground up" reared its head again - they didn't create a new engine and they don't own it - they use Unity as their engine. Same team different coat of paint.

Ross, I can understand where you are going with this. After reading the interview with 505 Games, posted by Matt, I could read through the lines and could feel that they are going around a lot of questions. Hardly anything there was about gameplay or how the features they mentioned go along with the gameplay. It's just frustrating to read these comments as it just looked like they have given new jazzy names to the features that exist since years now. Am just waiting to see the game in action now before passing any judgement, as that is the last straw in the bush.

That's the statement that bugged me the most actually. How is the game different to the competition.....we have licenses (most probably of two countries) and we have licensed kits (again for those two countries....in all probability). I mean come on.....where is the gameplay? Are you not so confident of any portion of your gameplay as compared to the competition that you can harp on that being the big difference? He knows he was talking to a representative from PC and over here gameplay is all people look for before the extra goodies.

The deal is, if there was a delay, it would have been made public by now. I don't know how it works, but I Believe 505 Games can still release a game with bugs and then release a day 1 patch for it fixing those bugs. Maybe Ross can tell us if such an approach is possible.

Ross, is it hard to release your title before June 21st as of now? Because if that can be done then none of all this matters.
June is a very good cricketing period and I think any genuine cricket lover would love to play the game. But not all can buy two games at once or even buy two games of the same sport inside the same year.
If the horse ain't running fast then why tie your car to it? Start your engine and race to the finish line yourself.

But at some point Big Ant will need to find a way to make the most of 2 Ashes series and Champions Trophy. Whether AC 13 releases on 21st June is a moot point if Big Ant don't have plans to release the game in near future. It's a short window and I doubt they will get a better opportunity but they will need to make the move without worrying about the other game.

I find Ross' 'open door' policy refreshing, actually. Some can see it as rabble-rousing or having a go at 505/Trickstar, but he's at the very least putting his money where is mouth is. I can identify with that. He's also been more than willing to state numerous times if he's got it wrong, he'll be the first to admit it. Again, we need more of this around here. Statements based on fact, information and the ability to own up to when you're COMPLETELY wrong. That's the adult way to do this stuff.

Sure it might make folks feel uncomfortable but we're all adults here and lets face it, it's good to have some honest open debate about this stuff. There's a severe lack of information (and more importantly images and gameplay videos) from BOTH products, devils advocate says he's doing the right thing by heaping pressure on the other guys to actually SHOW something and diverting attention away from the fact he hasn't shown anything either

...just calling it how I see it, it's masterful and I dig it.

True that! And as I mentioned it earlier, there's only one game who has an official release date at this point
