Post your questions about the game here!

Does pitch wear mean that no matter where you pitch the ball it will spin (or behave abnormally) or will it only behave abnormally when it pitches on the rough parts of the pitch?

It only behaves "abnormally" (well, really "normally") when a crack/rough spot is hit.

How many types of fauna will be in the game? ... ;):p

LOL :lol

Keeps getting better and better :)!!!!! I remember how in previous games the ball used to turn square nomatter where you pitched it x-(!!! I must say, you seem to have covered all bases....and with the new bowling mechanics being introduced by you, it really will be a challenge to hit those rough patches :)!!!

Thank you for your reply ross.
What about running between the wickets of the batsmen. Is there any chance that both the batsmen will be on the same end. Just curious to know.

Is saving of online games possible across all platforms or PC only? I guess you mentioned all platforms, but just wanted to re-confirm since I haven't seen any game on XBOX/PS3 which does that. (I could be wrong!)

Generally no, it is an extreme event.

If you had an occasion where the other batsman sprinted and you were slow (lets say fatigued), and you were then both close to one end, and you then cancelled the run then it could theoretically happen that you strand your team mate but I don't see that it will really happen often.

It would happen more on quick thirds/fourths where the difference in the running attributes of the batsman would come more into play. The AI will not run for you if it thinks there is no chance of making it.

Does that mean the non-striker is controlled independently by the AI with respect to running between the wickets??? i.e. even if I press the 'Run' button, there can be cases where the AI rejects the call and does not run???

Yes, the AI can reject the run.

The AI could be fatigued and "know" they might get stranded, they make a risk assessment like a human would. There is a tolerance, if it is a close call the the AI would run, but if the AI would clearly have a great chance of being run out then they won't.

How will you release cricket academy to us? Will it be via psn and windows live. And when will that be available to us

It will be a PC build only.

Once we have collated all of the teams that people want in the game I will make it available for download.

Is there going to be run outs like If the batsman hits a straight drive and the bowler touches the ball and it went on to hit the other end of the stumps where if the non-striker is not with in the crease.

That makes me wonder, can created players be shared across multiple platforms? As in a player/team created on the pc version being downloaded in the ps3 version.

Some of the the feature you just mentioned can easily make it best cricket game till now. I always wanted developers to give special priorities on running between wickets.

What about the fielding Ross? If it's manual, does it have stamina feature too? where a fielder decides to dive/leave a ball depending on his stamina and his accuracy of throw/catches depends upon it's fielding attributes. I explained it in details in previous posts but never got a answer to it.

I know i am bit late to the party but i have some question
1.Mod tools?(ingame customization is great but external one will be better no? ;))
2.How about Animations. Can we please see a variety in batting and bowling animation? I really dont wanna see everyone in team using a single set of bat and bowling animation
3.Online league system ala fifa? (please :()
4.available through steam or other DD or it is getting a proper boxed release?

If that is true.....you can just go ahead and take my money!!! You keep on amazing me more and more day by day with the number of small details that you have added to your game that provides immense depth in the gameplay. I mean, seriously, all these things we are stuff which we are thinking of now and really not expecting them to be in the game (based on what we have got from cricket games so far)....but you continue to shock us by stating that it is already available :)! I think you really should get down and prepare a write-up of every such small (and big) detail.....people need to know how much thought and planning you have put into this game.

Also, based on your above statement, can we assume that there would be situations where we call for a quick risky single, and the non-striker (controlled by AI), based on his attributes, would reject the single and leave me (the striker) stranded, unless I hit the 'get back' button on time?

Also I do hope that when the AI rejects the single, it shouts a loud 'NO' so that I am aware he has rejected the single?
