Post your questions about the game here!

^^ having said so i will be surprised if they are high profile commentators.

Since the names were not announced during the initial announcement i am not expecting to be pleasantly surprised regarding this.

At this stage i am interested to know the number of commentators rather then thier names. Hi Ross could you please tell us how many commentators are in the game. Kind Regards

Considering they've had Brian Taylor/Dennis Commetti for AFL Live and Gus Gould/Andrew Voss for RLL, it would be hard to think they've gone for someone other than a professional.

Those games were licensed though, DBC isn't. I would be more than happy to be wrong. All will be revealed soon, as they say...

Unprofessional commentators won't give you the real feelings of playing cricket games and it might ruin the whole video game i swear.

I seem to recall something being said about a 'pick up' session for the commentators. That to me would suggest there is at least one Aussie commentator.

I don't really mind that much who it is. As long as they sound like commentators. In saying that, I'll probably spend a large amount of my time playing in career mode and pro cam without the commentators on.

Otherwise, just name all the commentators and we'll only use that information to count them. :thumbs

Lollzzz Spot on MattW. I remember BLC 05 had 6 commentators so i would love to see more than that in DBC 14 based on its overall innovation and unprecedented game options. MattW do you have any idea or any wild guess about the number of commentators or their names. Kind regards.

If commentary can ruin a whole game for you, then you're playing the game for the wrong reason. You can just turn commentary off if it is that bad...

That said, "Commentary NOT by Michael Slater" is a good back of the box feature.

Dean Jones and Michael Slater together. *shudders*

I disagree - it's an important factor in atmosphere. I can't think of a sports video game where I could stand playing it with the commentary off and just listening to the even more repetitive crowd sounds.

Wild guess - 4. James, Mark, Jim and Tom.

Exactly. I just usually turn it off and talk to myself doing multiple different voices, my Ravi Shashtri is near perfect. Nevermind, I'm not crazy... What are you looking at? WHAT ARE THOSE VOICES?!

Oh of course it is important, very important. Personally thought 'ruin' was a bit far. The gameplay should be the deciding factor as far as the whole experience goes, but definitely see your point.

Its not that bro, we are just so used to it cause we never had any cricket game w/o licensed commentary but anyway cant we really expect a 100% perfect cricket game.just look at FiFA.NFL,NBA even RLL2 so why cant DB14.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you expecting a 100% perfect cricket game?

As an aside, in my opinion Madden commentary is absolutely woeful, and if you play NBA 2k for an extended period of time (especially with one team in association mode) it becomes very repetitive (naturally).

Commentary is important especially in the early phases of playing a sports game, its not like COD where you can just whack on the ipod and kill zombies for 2 hours.

Not too fussed on how popular or where the commentators are from just as long as it's a real name or two. No need to go out and waist money on 6 big name callers like they did on BLC05 and end up with dodgy arcade style gameplay.

Commentary definitely adds to the authenticity and gameplay experience in my opinion.

Opps! that was expect*. Absolutely i want a 100% perfect cricket game like others and we all know that DB 14 will be the greatest cricket game of all but i couldn't agree with your first opinion on commentary.
