Yeah why not she could even escort him to the crease. On a more serious note, I hope TTC has cheerleaders too :D

I thought one of the BARS showed a replay showing if there was a no ball, before goin on to check the balls line. May be wrong but I think checking the no ball is in

That's only if a review is called for; not what's being discussed where the umpire reviews the no-ball without anyone asking.

Interesting thing about the commentary in one of the videos..

After the third wicket went down for not much on the board, the commentator said, that is the 3rd wicket in quick succession.

It is a small thing, but seems like a nice touch that the commentator is aware to what happened in the past. BA is in the right path to make commentary in cricket games tolerable.

Just thinking in regard to career mode, does anyone know if we get a sense of the general reaction to a given day's events in a match. I mean, take today for example. Tomorrow's papers are going to be filled with details of Johnson's bowling performance which could make him even more confident in the second innings, while the TV coverage is minutely critiquing England's batting performance which is going to affect their morale and they have to try and deal with while the match is ongoing. I was just thinking about how the public and media perception of events can play a big role on confidence and morale even during a match and wondered if we'd get a feel of anything like that in the game? Even if it was just mentioned in commentary or something about your recent performance or form or something as mentioned in the previous post would be kind of cool anyway I suppose.

Doubt it. Those aren't things to get right in the first version.

Career mode is the mode that we have the least amount of details about, and I don't think it is because it's hiding a huge wealth of features like what you mentioned. It's probably more basic than we are anticipating.

how cool would it be if after a game is played there was a newspaper headline with some kind of sensational headline to sum up the game eg. Australia decimate the English and a highlight picture from the game. It could also be used to preview upcoming games and to highlight when your career player does well. I know one version of madden used this in the franchise mode. Perhaps this could be a future option on the career hob- as a media option or for interviews etc.

Usually the management do not allow their players to read critique pieces or watch the sports news in between match days. Infact players don't do that themselves.
Its only after a match, with the media interaction that they get exposed to.

reading some of these posts over the last few days, a few of you are expecting far too much detail for a first installment of a brand new game made from scratch....

I'm just hoping Big Ant get the basics right, and there are no game breaking bugs or flaws

for example the ease of creaming a spinner to all areas in Ashes Cricket 2009...

I like what I've seen so far, but I've seen enough games hyped in the past, with bigger budgets that have really disappointed upon release

fingers crossed.

Agreed, good to stay grounded.

Best cricket game so far, yes.

Is it Fida or Madden, no.

FIDA? F?d?ration Internationale de Dodgeball Association? Must be another BigAnt title...

Nicolas Cage presents FIDA14

Kind of contradicting yourself there :p I am sure though it won't take as many iterations as FiFA has taken for DBC to surpass it in quality!
