I had sent a pm to Puddle, letting him know that I'll not be coming online for the whole of yesterday and a bit of today. Time to role claim, I'm the other mason, James Anderson. Manly and I, both were suspicious of Sedition and hence I was aggressive towards him. Manly, at the same time felt that Trev's inactivity is a little suspicious and hence he went after him.

Why would you send the PM to PD rather than simply letting the other players know that you won't be active? Not that I wasn't expecting it anyway since it didn't take long to quote every post you'd made this game..

As for your claim, it's plausible but in no way confirmed that Anderson is in the game or was a mason, think it was just a theory mentioned by Colin or Smurf?

What is the actual purpose of your role?

The Anderson thing was already mentioned and it's just another dodgy claim. You didn't really say a word about the Mason thing after the day write-up.

You don't have to make anything of it, I was just reminding people that the Swann-Anderson theory was a total stab in the dark at the beginning of the day, and it is perhaps convenient for you to claim it now.

I'm starting to think more and more that PD has given the scum a list of England players that aren't in the game, and they can choose which ones they want to claim and what roles sound plausible. Perhaps your mafia buddies were setting you up for the claim by putting the idea out there?

Considering Colin has picked at least 1 scum in the opening couple of days of games I've played with him, and picked all 3 scum on Day 2 with no results last game, it makes me wonder if he's lost his touch this game, or just isn't trying very hard. He's a high priority target every game whether he picks the scum or not right away, so I don't buy the excuse of just trying to stay alive.

As for my aggression, if I've been too aggressive, then I guess I will or have already been investigated by whatever roles we have, so I don't see any need to curb my aggression. I've posted my suspicions on every player that I thought was doing something suspicious, which is more than I can say for the majority of the game. Frankly, my town partners have mostly been ----.

Oh yes, being aggressive and pointing a suspicious finger at just about everyone is indeed very helpful. We're indeed progressing very well in this game, with one mason dead and you after another and no mafia down.

Alright, finally my mind is at it's right place and I've read last few pages well. Now, coming onto Day 3. Manly was killed and was Swann. We need to know what could Manly's role be? Maybe not very influencing as he acted strange prior to his death. I think he pulled attention on himself to save PRs? But, why would he do that actually? We need to be alive at the end to win the game so, unless he could still win with his 'partner' being alive, I don't see any other reason of posting such posts.

Now, I'm suspicious of quite a few people actually. I'll post one by one (no priority)

Aditya. The reason for Aditya is how quickly he backtracked after lynching Sedition. I don't see Aditya posting without reading the writeup as a reason to suspect him though. Aditya said he has got his answers. But, where? I didn't find anything...

All he has done is jump on the bandwagon and add nothing. I'll put it down as poor play though.

Sedition and theDon. Something tells me that these both are a team. They want to get Aditya lynched? Maybe. Don has been very vocal about Sedition's posts against Aditya. Wherever Ste tried to raise a point it was Don who responded where I felt Sedition should have. I don't really know but, worth a look.

I'm getting town vibes from Ste, I am not really sure of anyone else though. Smurf's claim hasn't been cced and I do believe Trott will be there in the game and Trott surely can't be a mafia? I mean based on RL or he can be? And, you never know with Abhas. But, this time I feel I can sense him being town. Again, I'd like to bring up Colin. Yes, he's busy. But, in whatever he has posted, he doesn't seem the same one. There is something wrong with him... I can't really point out what.

Not everyone plays for the win. Personally, when I'm vanilla, I aim to get myself targeted early and actually help my teammates, even though the longer I play, the less I think they deserve it.

Zhuorb I haven't seen anything too crazy from, though part of the reason I've put him aside for now is that he has a very low threshold for claiming, whether he's a PR or vanilla. I took advantage of this last game when I was mafia, but as the game goes on it becomes less of a risk to pressure him.

I went after thedon pretty hard yesterday, maybe I'm wrong about both him and Aditya but at the very least I've gotten them to post more and thedon seems to have gotten into the game now. I responded to multiple posts of Ste's and since I thought I was pretty clear in my initial post, I was not going in circles with someone that could very well be mafia and was basically defending Aditya by trying to cast doubt on the one leading the lynch.

Since thedon had also found Aditya scummy and placed a lynch, then he obviously has his own thoughts and should post them too, unlike Zhuorb who you mentioned that placed a lynch, but didn't give much reasoning.

Abhas hasn't posted a great deal all game as far as I can see. Last game was much the same but he made up for it with activity in the mafia QT. No doubt some of these players that have only posted a handful of times all game have been far more active in the QT, which we were allowed to post in all day before.

Since we have no results and if we're going to take Smurf and Aditya's (if no one CCs) claims as true, then I think a mass character claim might be beneficial. If we find that everyone can post a legitimate England player, then we know we can't confirm people on basis of going uncountered.

If it hasn't been helpful to you that I've been grilling multiple people and getting responses from them, then not only haven't you been helpful in the slightest, you're not even taking in information.

You also didn't answer my question about the actual function of your role. Were you recruited? Did you start as a mason? Can you recruit? Can you communicate at night with your partners? Or you simply don't know any of these things?

I wasn't recruited, PD set us up hence I started as a mason. I cannot recruit. I could communicate with Manly at nights and even during the day. Yes, I don't know any of these things.

Well unless some CC's Jimmy Anderson, I don't have much choice but to unlynch and look elsewhere. Your story seemingly checks out with the write-up, though I'm hesitant to give them a great deal of credibility.

I would have if I were you. The reason Manly died was because of his 'dossier'. You should know what info he had, Aditya. Or the reason why he claimed to have information. What was it, Aditya?

. Also regarding Smurf - some interesting thoughts I would like to point out. I was going through the writeups trying to dig information and this is what I found on Day 2:



If you guys havent seen it I am 99% sure thats me. I tried to kill didnt get it done. And he made it in time is Prior making the save. Reintegration means that I was townie again so maybe thats why my kill was unsuccessful. So no thanks to you Smurf

Then Smurf claims to have got an unsuccessful from RB treva. Makes sense cause he did highlight Treva for scum play. But hes the town roleblocker right and no jailbreaker (assuming there is one) is going to go after Smurf when hes already claimed a town power role. Doesnt make sense to me atleast.

So basically your role is not verified yet. Cause I didnt kill, not because of your blocking and the second time you were "unsuccessful."

Its possibly with so many lynches on you, you decided to claim Town RB and Jonathan Trott, both brave claims that have yet to be CC'ed. Were you possibly hoping that someone counterclaims you and your mafia buddies no who that is?

Think this theory is a the very least plausible and also shows that Smurf is not necessarily pro-town in my eyes.

That is one of several possibilities. Another possibility is that Matt Prior could be a red herring. With no roles being revealed and PD giving us minimal write-ups that may or may not be true, don't you find it strange that he would reveal two roles straight off the bat in the initial write-up.

Let's assume you are correct, and that I only claimed to draw the real roleblocker out. Dont you think they would have counter-claimed me by now that the town is struggling for concrete leads?

@ Sedition - what are your views on Treva?

I've never played with treva before, so it's been difficult to analyse him compared to most others. From my perspective he wasn't very active at the beginning but has been somewhat improved since a few people mentioned him. He hasn't been particularly helpful, but nothing has jumped out as being scummy enough for me to drop everything and target him yet.

RPHKR, Ste and Trev are the only ones I've never seen in action before, so I'm on the fence with them a bit, with RPH leaning town and Ste leaning scum.

How many mafia do guys think there are? With a possible cult involved, it might just be 2, taking into account the SK as well. If no cult, then it might be 3-4.

Right now, the 2 most suspicous characters to me are Treva and Colin. Colin has been way too passive for my liking, while Treva's posted nothing of importance. Along with that, I actually dont believe his claim of having no role. PD said this would be a game with a certain flavour, so I find it hard to believe there would be vanillas in the game.

I agree with you RPHKR is giving town vibes, but I'm not too surs on Ste. This is is his 1st game, and he could easily have asked his questions about the game on the mafia QT rather than here. What about his game do you find most scum, Sedition?
