Rugby Union World Cup 2007

Geez the news media keeps getting up our hopes by saying Larkham could be back for the match against Canada and now he will be lucky to play again. I'll be more than happy to depend on Barnes though, him and Giteau have a good combo going.

Well not that it's saying much but that's the best I've seen England play for a while. On the flipside, I thought Tonga were fairly poor and made a lot of errors and we'll almost certainly get murdered by the Aussies.

but at least were now in the quarters! i was worried we would go out in the group.
there was times when england looked pretty useful with the ball with good hands, but we will defo get hammered in the next game

Still not convinced we've even sorted out our best XV, but at least we're spared the ignimony of a first round exit. Our forwards and kicking from hand just too good for the game Tongans.

Think the Aussies will make mincemeat of us if we kick that amount of ball away too.

Well, we're through the group stage at least, but I really don't think we'll go any further. I hope I'm wrong!

Yup. Tonga's kicking was very poor and they weren't really able to compete in the scrums or lineouts.

Tonga looked alright in patches but everytime the English scored you knew the upset wasn't going to occur.

I don't really want to comment on what happened yesterday...

Actually, it really isn't bothering me too much, we've ended up with a developing nation in the QF's, a great opportuninty for them to show what they're made of... and it means that we can sort out our diabolical system. And that's not just the welsh system, its the whole NH system - games like Eng v USA, Ire v Geo, Arg v Fra show just why we need to!

The way this WC was going an upset was always around the corner for the NH teams. It's good to see Fiji getting a huge upset in the 15 a side game, hopefully it's the start of something special for them.

Wallabies really did fall apart without their usual halves combo, I was expecting alot more from Cordindly.

I was at the game yesterday, really good atmosphere :D The French police are completely useless and have no idea what their doing though. I thought we were pretty good but defensively we struggled to connect eith som of our tackles, i know their big but just grab their legs! We might beat the Aussies, I know their miles better than we are but we've got a bit of belief in us now, we've got a slight chance. Don't be so pessimistic, if we win i can go to the semis!

The Wales-Fiji game was one of the best matches I have ever watched. Pure quality.

See Jenkins has been given his cards now. Only fair, really. He's been pretty rank. Amazing to think you had a coach who lead you to your first Grand Slam in over a quarter of a century and he was out not a year later in an alleged display of "player power". Thomas and the others allegedly involved want to have a good, long look at themselves today.

From where Wales went in 2005-2007 is a question where did it go wrong? When New Zealand went to tour in 05 everyone were saying that The Dragon would have been the only side to give the All Blacks a go, now they've been humiliated by Fiji please don't tell me that it's not that way Wales should have won that match 40-15 somewhere given the money and preparation they have compared to the south pacific team. England's downfall started at Andy Robinson he was the reason England nearly missed out on the quarters, I feel for Ashton taking over the team where guys like Henry, Laporte and White have had over four years to build a side if Ashton was there for that period of time I would have given England the chance of making semis they've got the players but management the biggest down fall

Well that's ireland out. A pretty good performance by Argentina. I don't think Scotland's prospects look to good against them :mad
