Rugby Union World Cup 2007

Everyone knows England are the dark horse of the tournament, and even if they do get through to the Quarter-Finals, how will they stop Australia? (According to what I heard) :p

Can't believe Wilkinson is still injured he might have to consider early retirement at this rate. I'm hearing Catt will start in the 10 shirt rather than Farrell who was named there. I haven't seen much of Farrell in Union but I don't think his kicking game would be good enough for this game.

Not surprised seeing Shepard replace Gerrard but it really should have been Turner.

Well Farrell's league kicking is 1042 goals in 230 appearances. Not amazing but it makes him competent enough I feel. Could be useful having both him and Catt swapping with each other between inside center and fly half swapping between their left and right foots as the situation sees fit and keeping the South Africans on their toes hopefully.

Meant more general kicking, his place kicking is more than handy enough and hes the best option that England have atm.

No suprises really. They've looked so bereft of ideas for the past four years it wasn't suddenly going to change now.
Sad way for Jason Robinson's career to end - he was easily England's best player before his injury. Apparently Samoa were 8-1 to beat England last week but by now I reckon they'd be favourites!

SA are looking very good dominating both teams they have played so far. England could have the title of being the first ever World Champions to exit in the Round Robin. Samoa just need to play like they did in 03 and they will win.

Like I said England had no hope of beating South Africa, I don't know how Ashton can say there were alot of postives coming out of the game, hey buddy this is the world cup, warm up matches are over you gotta perform now not later! how can you get a postive if a team shut you out?

Robinson for me was the only player who tried to play, there was no urgency in the English backs, Farrell never actually tried something at pace...it's one thing saying to the media that they'll beat the boks but it's another thing doing it on the pitch, I just hope England keep their mouths shut against Samoa and go out and do the job other wise they'd be packing.

Big game today Wales vs Australia at Cardiff, Australia to win by 15 points or more, I don't see Wales after their poor performance against Canada turning it around againts a spirited Wallaby side, although their's speculation that Larkham might not play, I'm sure that the Wallabies won't be too much affected if he doesn't

New Zealand and Portugal, poor old Porgeez, All Blacks to win by 90 or more

Ireland and Georgia, well Georgia gave a good show against Argentina but same scenario here, Ireland will have too much fire power in the last quarter and will run away I'd say in the region of 40 - 7

Absolutely horrible performance from England. Really, we were just plain embarrassing. Robinson was our only back who played with even a vague glimmer of verve.

I know we've had injury problems, but let's not forget that the yarps were without three of their best players too: no Spies, no De Villiers and no Burger. If Burger and Spies had been in the back row I dread to think how bad it might have got.

Looks like Noon and Robinson doubters for Samoa, I'm not sure what the english are going to do now, maybe they need to go down and beg for Woodward to come back

Portugal thought really hard in their match it was good seeing them get a few points against the ABs.

Wallabies looked alright in their match, a few too many handling errors early on and then discipline stopped us from having a good performance. Barnes was awesome for his 2nd match, kicking game was good, setup a good try and solid in defense. Don't know about Mitchell on the wing though.

Irish sure aren't in form, too bad Georgia couldn't pull of the upset.
